Well... Offshoot's head's a little loose and some of the pipes don't really want to attach for vehicle mode, but nothing detrimental at all! I'd definitely recommend picking this guy up if you ever see him in stores and have the cash to shell out for it. Quote:

Basically the same as was mentioned earlier, they would replace it with a figure of similar value. I asked for a replacement part, but apparently they don't have any. Isn't Hasbro the maker of this figure ? They make it sound as if TRU has the only rights to it. Anyway, I'm going to try putting a screw through the joint and keep it. |

And since its a TRU exclusive stock probably goes straight from the Factory to a TRU warehouse. The equal value thing rarely works out well. They'd probably send you some leftover Animated Voyagers. |

And they are quite slow. Seem like Hasbro in Asia needs some improvement.

| Omnibot Join Date: Aug 2006 Posts: 272 | I got my MP Rodimus from my wife for Xmas - I sent her the link on Cyber Monday when it was still in stock, and marked down to around $50. I was very happy to get it, and even happier that my wonderful and patient wife loves me enough to encourage my toy collecting. That said, after opening it and transforming it, I'm not all that impressed, and I'm considering returning or selling it. I've never owned this mold before, and I know at the MP level there are usually engineering issues, but transforming him back and forth to vehicle mode is a mess, what with the shallow pins on the leg panels causing them to pop off, and the terrible way the ankles and feet have to bend around the interior of the car to put into place for vehicle mode. I noticed after transforming him once or twice that there are cracks and stress marks in the feet and leg areas, and I'll have to repair that before the feet break off. He can hold maybe one of his guns in one hand, but not very solidly, and he can't hold Offshoot in either hand. The backpack is very fiddly and wants to pop off at any time. One thing I am also having problems with is where the hands go in vehicle mode - they seem to get squished in along the leg panels, and I'm worried those little parts will get damaged. They don't seem to fit all that well, and I have to force in the chromed pipes, nothing seems to have good tolerances in the arm transformation. I'm probably not doing it entirely correctly, but due to the fragility of mine around the ankle and foot area, I'm not going to be doing much more transforming lest I break it. So, is this just a bad one, or is this how the mold just is? I don't hate it, I like the guns and the head gimmicks, but I'm not feeling the overy fiddly and breakable transformation. I could keep or sell him, but he's already a bit damaged so I doubt I could sell him for full value. Help me enjoy my MP Rodimus - am I missing something obvious about the feet and ankle transformation, about the hands in vehicle mode, etc? Tim "toy geek" |

As you can tell, the bottoms of the feet should be somewhat parallel under the car. Try moving a knee one click, then moving the ankle one click in the other direction so that the toe once again points towards the nose of the car, then try either another click or going in the opposite direction that you started with. After just a bit of fiddling you'll find a position where the hands don't feel as though you're trying desperately to jam them in there and the car mode looks rather streamlined. I kept the hands out rather than the tool attachments. There are some photos way, way back in this thread that show how the underside of the car should look. If the leg joints aren't all at just the right ratchet click, yours will still look just like the photos at a glance, but the hands will still give you trouble.
