Sucks having to wait another 4 months. Thankfully this Friday I'm going on the MP Roddy hunt in hopes of finding him to hold me over until this Screamer comes out.

I'm wondering right now if I should get this Starscream or hold out for Voyager Starscream. I'm trying to get the more screen accurate one. This one does appear to be taller than Arcee but I'm wondering if Optimus was taller than Starscream because if he is than I'll get the deluxe. If not I'll get the voyager.

Got one at retail today. Small, not the best profile in jet mode but kickass transformation and robot mode. Easily my 3rd favorite SS figure behind HFTD and MP.

I just got him today. He's really cool. The soft grey plastic looks just fine in person. It kind of has a reddish tinge. But that may also be the lighting in here. I look far less white in here than I do outside. I frickin' glow in the dark.

Anyway, I totally recammend him. He's fun to transform and is pretty posable. I'm stunned at how well his feet support him.

If you want you can slightly mis-transform him to make him stand straight. The only ugly part is that there's a small gap where his neck should be.

Huh, robot mode is taller than I thought. I feel like this version is better scale-wise with some characters (Soundwave, Skyquake) but the Voyager would probably be better looking with the Autobots. Also, Voyager wins on accuracy and quality of the weapons.

Yeah, the weapons would really benefit from being hard plastic. Mine were warped right out of the packaging along with his head crest. Although the head crest is due to him being mis-transformed in the box. The manufacturer didn't move his head crest back so it's curved. But I'm sure both these issues are fixable. I haven't tried it myself since I'm fine with minor impefections. Other than some issues with the soft plastic and a little mould scars and flash between the fingers he's perfect. I actually have a poor history with quality control. I'm very unlucky so it may not be a very common occurance. We'll have to wait until the American release to see how common it is.

But don't let those flaws turn you off of him. He's really fun and I think that's what matters most with a toy. The joins on mine are quite tight and the paintjob is awesome. I love the dark grey paint since it has little specks in it. It just looks really nice in person. I don't think it can be captured on film.

I have a small gap in my memory. I always forget about the flaps on the back of his legs. XD I was trying to get him into jet mode and I'm like "why isn't this working?!?!" then I notice the flaps. So yeah, you need to have them down to get him into his jet mode.

In all my gushing about Starscream I forgot to mention one of the coolest things about him. His eyebrows look like they come slightly off the sides of his face from the front. That is just awesome. I know it's just a trick of the eye but it's still really cool. His wings are also able to be positioned in different ways. They can't fold away but I can make the CE stamp and number far less noticable.

    As for his height:
I was fiddling around with Starscream today and I noticed that he looks taller than he actually is. Remember that picture with him in jet mode next to the pen? He's not much longer in robot mode. He's also not much taller than Generations Blurr/Drift. My only voyager figures are RTS Lugnut and Deep Dive and he's not even as tall as them. He's still out of scale with a majority of the Prime toyline but he's not as ridiculously tall as he looks. His wings do come up pretty high though but like I said they are adjustable.

I haven't compared Starscream to RTS Perceptor, Wreck-Gar, or RiD Megatron yet.

Please note that I'm measuring at the head. His wings come up just under 2 inches(3.5cm) above his head in their highest position.

I thought something was wrong with my toy at first because of all the little parts that move in the backpack/torso area to get him to look just right. The end result is very good.

Wow this looks a lot better than I thought, that robot mode is stellar, so much personality. Jet mode could be better, but wow, I am impressed.

This figure is amazing. I love posing my figures, and this one certainly works with that obsession. Transformation is somewhat simplistic, but overall, a great way to start off Prime, even after I swore I'd only buy the Voyager of this one.

Has anyone trimmed the missile pods so it only has one? I thought about doing it, but I figured I'd ask here first.

It doesn't look like it would be hard to do, but it does look like it would be hard to do well.

Great figure, really. Not much else to say besides that.
