I am sorry, but when you guys put the wings in those positions (with the wheel portion up high) it really makes it look bad. I have the preference of the wings in the positions they showed at toy fair. I'll post some photos on mine later.

 

Could someone post some more pictures like Peaugh did with the wings down like a cape please?

 

Quick question: are those swords on Optimus' back removable? And can he hold them? If so, then I am sold.

 

Combined? You can spread the legs, pose the ankles so the feet are flat against the ground, that's it. No knee articulation. As for Prime himself, see the pics posted on page 1.

You can pop them off but they're on ball joints so you would have nowhere to plug them in.

Deco-wise, I think the only thing that really annoys me are the all red Autobot symbols on the trailer (Armada-style). I would have liked something more defined (or just the raised portion of the symbols painted).

 

This guy was definitely worth it for the Walmart $65 price tag, but not sure I'd pay more than that for him. I tend to prefer to pose him with the wings in a more horizontal position so they look more like actual wings.

 

For the $68 shipped I paid for him from Wal-mart....he is awesome. I keep looking at the legs and trying to figure out a way to make them bend. I keep the wings down like a cape. Lots of toy if you can get it for the cheaper price.

 

Is there some sort of robot made from just the trailer? Blurry pics of the side of the box showed what i thought looked like the cannon and mask sitting in where prime would go.

 

Look about a page back and you'll see what it looks like. It really is just empty armour.

Dude, plenty of pics have the wheels folded outward to match the orientation of the wings.

Also, citoria, Optimus looks pretty awesome there with Sentinel's shield!

 

They're not folded out, that's exactly how they're positioned in trailer mode. So technically, those hinges serve no purpose.

 

They fold down to follow the lines of the wings. EmGo was actually the first to point this out.

According to me. The large wings should be at the bottom, not the top. The short wings look best above the others. Also anyone who hasnt bought Backfire. His weapon mode is worth the price.

 

Where are the mechtech ports in combined mode?

 

Shoulders (1 on each), wrist (1 each) and hands (as in he can hold a weapon)

 

That's how I had them in my last 4 pictures. And that's how I usually do it.

 

Plus several on the wings, one on each side of his ankles.

Also, I know about folding the wheels, but it was easier to quickly move the wings around for the shots leaving them flat like that.

 

I do love the variations of the wings.

Plus with the cannon and wings stretched out he becomes Optimus Wing Zero!

 

this guy is pretty good for 65$. And also, he looks much better in person than you think. He is a very impressive display as well. Yes, he is a bit like Armada Prime, but only in the legs, the arms are great.

Lushkwok mentions in his review that, even if you have leg articulation, with a figure this size, if the weight distribution sucks, if you have him at a wider stances he may fall anyways, and There is some truth in saying that.

The mechtech is ABSOLUTELY awesome looking.

 

So what class size is the base Optimus Prime?
