That stealth force mode reminds me of the concept art for the movie.

 

I'm not sure I'll be able to wait until Christmas to pick this up...

 

Honestly, I was going to pass on it. My son actually got it for his bday, so we started playing around with it.

Now, it's an absolute must-have. IMO, Leader Prime is pretty much the best toy ever created, so this trailer just magnifies that. I wish they'd make a Buster Prime with facemask, but whatever.

Anyway, with the trailer and a ROTF Leader Prime, it's an unbelievably great toy. So much value. Trailer, dual-mode jetpack, stealth/Mad Max mode, Anti-aircraft mode, Repair bay, weapon rack, sofa; it's awesome.

 

I just wish the trailer was closer to scale with leader Prime...

 

Dude who came up with base modes and fleshling made this toy more enjoyable.

 

I'm not fond of how the big gun thing clips onto the rest of the armour. It's a sod to get off when going to trailer mode. If it could've somehow been clipped in place once the figure was unpacked from the box and then forever left clipped in for both modes I'd have been happier, but it feels like I'm going to snap those little orange tabs whenever I have to unclip them when switching modes.

 

the appeal of this figure for me initially was that one, it was the newest thing at the time, and because it was huge. For as many reasons I had to dislike it, I kept trying to find reasons to like it.

So I caved and bought it a while back, and was hit with instant regret for a while.

Now, it has grown on me. For me, I had to disregard the instructions. I now have more of a combat suit look mode for him that makes him look like he's sitting in the armor. Just a simple mod really...well not really a mod, just leaves out some transformation steps.

Recently I've been adding more weapons to the cab. It's a much more enjoyable figure now, just think outside of the box, disregard the instructions, and pile up some mechtech weapons, as that unlocks the fun.

 

I believe the Takara version of Ultimate Prime (DA-32) is already out. Did anyone end up getting one? Are there any differences aside from the sticker and the bio card?

 

anyone got pictures of the prime vs hftd battle blades prime? will battle blades fit the armor?

If you follow the instructions and transform the trailer, it won't be able to ride on Leader Prime's hitch very well. It will only ride straight. However, if you transform it differently so that the two shoulder pieces are up inside of it instead of hanging out below, it works pretty well. Do not tab the forearms into the trailer sides. You won't be able to get the shoulder pieces aligned if you do that, too. It is unnecessary anyway, and the gun still plugs in with the 4 pegs. You get the bonus of the two antennae acting as trailer legs.

Additionally, you can route out the hitch on the trailer with a jeweler's phillips screwdriver, and it will sit perfectly on the hitch button of Leader Prime. (It's the little grey plastic tab that presses the button on Prime's waste and activates the transformation sound.

I won mine in a competition so the price was right. Didn't expect much but he does look rather neat. Also doing the helmet mod.

 

Great pics guys! I apologize if this has been asked but does the blue overspray come easily on the inside of the trailer? That's the only thing that bothers me about this figure.

 

Fleshling sold me on this guy a long time ago. But I just can't ignore the fact that this is gonna be on clearence forever. I'm scooping up everything else I want from DOTM first.

I think a Supreme sized Prime with this trailer looks great with the HA. Not really in scale but it sort of cheats the size issue. But since I already have Jetfire I'll just use him until I get this.
