But that is the slight you deal with when you have a model kit. It would be nice if TAKARA would make a figure like the buster prime style with the detail of the DMK-01. That way you could have the awesome detail with out as much fraility. This kit is kind of a put it together, find a pose you like him in and marvel at him. Not recommended for frequent handeling or changing poses. |

"Bonecrusher hates everything"____________-Official Movie Profile![]() It also made me realize how few large Decepticon figures we get compared to Autobots. I never got leader rotf Megs cause it looked crappy, and we never got any for dotm! I suppose I'll have to see how he stacks up to my leader Sentinel.... ![]() The paint details I added show up really nicely on the blue parts, but not so much on the red. Anyone got any suggestions? Should I just use a darker metallic paint there? Or is the problem just with the base red color? |

I also added some extra wear and tear, as well as some much needed black lines on his red parts. I wish there was a practical way to get the pinstriping on his chest, but the lines are just too thin for the paint markers I have.

"Bonecrusher hates everything"____________-Official Movie ProfileI've been adding lots of paint details slowly but surely, and I've also been looking back through this thread for more various mod tips. The hot screwdriver was a brilliant idea, and after doing it, I can't help but feel that the designers must have wanted people to do it that way. It's just too perfect not to have been intentional. The fingers used to be the suckiest part of this kit, but now I love posing them! Next step is to add some LEDs (my first time attempting this). I have watched frenzyrumble's excellent youtube tutorial, and once I get all the supplies I need I will proceed. One thing though: does anyone know a cheap and easy way to get a switchboard? That's the only thing I need for this project that doesn't seem to be readily available on amazon. |

Especially since I successfully completed my first LED installation! I hope to get the abdomen headlights going too, but for now, just the eyes:

It's conveniently open in the back too, and a 3mm LED fits perfectly in there to give it an amazing shine. I will definitely be wiring this up for my DMK!
