    A-men to that!

This thing is a brilliant display piece & bit of accurate sculpting, but I still think there's something about the head that's off & I don't know why exactly, because the rest of it is amazing!

I won't be getting it though, due to the hefty price & the fact I like my Transformers to transform....oh and the QC after seeing Peaugh's review.

Such a fantastic piece. Thanks so much for posting the large photos.

It's just a shame BBTS sold out. :(

I hope they get more in someday.

Edit: NVM they are in stock, just read the above post lol

$129.99 now? Looks like it jumped another $10 in price from the previous $119.99. Crazy markup is crazy. Glad I got mine off AmiAmi while the getting was good.

No offense to Peaugh, but it's not like he was handling his with kid gloves.

He's too used to playing with the more durable TFs which he still manages to make fall apart during his reviews lol

Just ordered mine through amiami last night as well since it looked like they got more stock  . I paid ~$126 shipped with EMS though  . At least I'm still coming out ahead a little bit vs ordering one from BBTS. I get hit with sales tax with them since they're located in Wisconsin :(

:lol  no, it's cool. Part of the problem was that I'd had a long day, then spent 6 hours building this thing, and by the time I was shooting that last bit I was full on exhausted, and ready to be done with it, and just wasn't careful with it. I've used the other wrist joint attachment piece several times with no issues. Even the fingers are great now after I used the hot screwdriver trick to make them stay on and remain posable. I totally understand passing on this due to the price, but please, PLEASE don't misjudge the kit because *I* was an idiot. Handled properly, the wrist attachment pieces work just fine.

Peaugh, your review made me want it alot. I did however watch the ever vulger Robotadventures 5-Part Review (my god he's got a foul mouth for even a redneck lol) anyway I had to mute it. but man the crsytal clear HD cam he's got, and the fact it was close up... made me truly not regret my purchase. I looooove the sheer amount of detail on him. Can you post any photos up of what these...Tubes your talking about are?

Aghhhh it can't get here soon enough.

any tips for me brotha peaugh?

any tools I need, other than an exacto knife and lots of patience?

You can see on the right side versus the left what I'm talking about. all individual, and they wrap around each other, so installing them is crazy, ESPECIALLY since they aren't even visible when you're done!

Thankfully however, the faceplate is actually a pretty easy swap. and he's crazy poseable!

As for the build itself, a pair of nail clippers will help too, but yeah, patience is really the key. And Be super careful when attaching the silver mirrors to the chest doors! Mine didn't break, but man, it was close!

Yeah those mirrors are scary. I just attached the bottom part and let the top be. They seem to stay in good enough. What is that hot screwdriver trick you talked about in your last post? I'd like to try it because the fingers falling off is one of my only gripes with this kit.

Basically you heat up the tip of a flat screwdriver with a lighter, then push the fingers all the way on and press the hot screwdriver against the end of the post. Just a bit, be careful, but enough to melt/flatten the end of the post, which makes it too wide for the finger to slip off anymore. Works GREAT. I can't seem to find the link I was sent the other day to the tutorial. Nuts.

Did you use a model knife in addition to clippers and a file or just the nail clippers? I've done a bunch of 1/144 and 1/100 Gundam models in the past but I really don't want to screw around with this one
Really looking forward to trying this. I keep hearing how easy it is for the fingers to slide off and usually when you hear this many people talk about it, you know it's going to be really bad :lol

I am scared to try this out, but it seems to be the way to go. I made this rough Photoshop to show the difference.
