Nice ! But eh.... silver painted torso panels ? Slick, but that paint will wear off....

Jet mode looks fine but the black all over the robot mode looks absolutely terrible, completely ruins the figure.

 

Glad this looks good. I got Leader SS on clearance just before the new toys hit, so I didn't want another Starscream... this will do nicely.

 

Now that's the stuff. I feel like I'm going to end up buying every variant of this mold.  

 

I prefer the colors over Starscream but I'd rather have both parts of the bladed weapon, not sure which one I should go for.

 

I kind of agree, especially the head. I think they could have done something better with the colors on that, or made a completely different head mold like they did for the old Voyager. But I'm still probably going to pick this one up, and Skywarp if he's made, to complete the trio.

 

Still, these panels are parts which move and have contact areas ; so, imo it's a bit of an odd decision to paint blue plastic silver, instead of using lightgrey plastic.

About the black parts : I rather like that actually.

 

Yes...The black parts look great. Just a tad metal drybrush on there, and itll pop out all that detail real easy..

 

Maybe Skywarp will come with the other half?

 

Well if they do make a Skywarp I'd have that toy faster than you can blink, so problem solved. Here's hoping we see one at Botcon.

 

Nice! I'm not a fan of Starscream's stock color scheme, white and brown and those ugly black tattoos everywhere. But Thundercracker's colors look spot on and very G1-ish. I just hope Hasbro will release G1-colored Starscream and Skywarp too like they did with the past movies. They'd make a nice looking trio next to their Classics/Universe/Generations counterparts!

 

I dislike this mold, After Leader SS, the only SS I will ever consider in the Movie Line is maybe the Cyberverse.

After picking up Starscream on a whim I'm more that excited for repaints of this mold, bought on sight.

 

I picked this guy up just because:
A. He's Thundercracker, the focus of my collection is Skywarps and Thundercrackers, and
B. The jet mode just looks incredible. Just look at it.

I've always hated the movie seeker robot mode. I don't think this toy will change that opinion. I'd be OK with this even if I never transform it to robot mode. But if there's a Skywarp made, I'll buy it too. The way TC's wing stripes are so similar to Skywarp's G1 style makes me really really want to see this deco in Skywarp's colors.

 

I wasn't planning on getting SS since I already have the RotF leader one, but after reading good reviews of the mold I might get one of the repaints...

 

Just got this guy today at a local Target. He's pretty awesome. His colors are really good aside from the derpy head. Decent mechtech gun too. His sword seems out of place though.

 

He looks like a character out of a Daze video.

 

Great mold, awesome paint job. Love mine
