Quoted a post of mine that will help going into alt mode. I also give a few tips just a couple of posts back.

This whole thread is a great help. I recommend going through it specifically looking at posts with pics to hurry things up...

One of my favourite toys from this line. A bit of a pain to transform but its worth it. Good luck :) .

Is he on a ROTF Leader Optimus level of pain? Haha.

Close to it. The cab/front end goes together pretty smoothly, but his aft end is Prime-level pain for sure.

ROTF Leader OP is actually really quite easy once you transform it a few times. Sentinel is painful every time because of everything having to be JUST right.arms/hands have to beat the right angle, knee/feet have to be the right angle.

I'm the other way around on it. I've transformed Optimus more often, but I find Sentinel easier to transform. With Optimus I still have to fiddle with his arms and truck nose so much to get them all to click into place. With Sentinel, once everything's in the correct place, he goes together really well for me.

Same here Henry, I still LOVE leader Sprime. Optimus is still fiddly for me. Sentinal pegs together like a brick for me. I love that truck mode

Even though getting him into vehicle mode is a pain, still one of the best of the DotM line.

The problem with Sentinel is that most of his truck shell is composed of long, thin panels, which are thus subject to potential bending and warping, and they're flexible enough that if things aren't aligned just right, it will still seem like you can fit them into place, but it just leads to cascading failures.

Like Prime, just go at him methodically, and you'll find that things have they're proper place. Memorize the specific ratchet positions of his leg joints, the orientation of his arms, and they all fit together nicely. The arms tab solidly onto the truck panels on the legs once you've got them into position, so once that's done, the rest should follow pretty cleanly.

I agree. I definitely think he's the best looking of the line.

I would sincerely like to thank everyone who has offered their advice. I took the time to thank everyone in my Dec. 4 TF Update video: Transformers Update - December 4, 2012 - YouTube. You guys are great and really know how to make a new guy feel welcome. :)

As of yet, I haven't attempted the Transformation. I plan to soon and I will let everyone know how it went. Again, I just wanted to say thanks. :)

Post a photo. It's hard to picture what you're describing.

going by memory here, but I think you have to get the grey part UNDER the windows, and then click it in, It will mate up to the little red bits

I rememeber I could never get his torso fully together, until I figured out you have to line it all up, and give it one push to send the whole thing home

/\/\/\ this sounds right... I too haven't messed with Sentinel in an eon, but I recall having trouble with that bit too. But once I clearly understood HOW all that crap collapsed in that one small area, his torso closed up just fine. I believe the windshield has to collapse more than what it initially seems too.

I got it... the window is supposed to go behind the black piece... jow he's cool.

edit: holy shit, i was missing a lot on this guy! i just looked at peaugh's pics and realized i wasn't folding the bottom of the windows up or flipping the mirrors... he looks so much better now!
