What do you mean by removing the hands? With my V1, I remember the hands were not slotted-in fully, so I pushed them in and that fixed the problem.

Have you tried that?

Yes I checked for that. I fully removed them, then reattached, and made certain they where in correctly, but the tab to connect the arms to the car roof section just couldn't be tabbed in when they were in the way. This is the 4th MP Rodimus I've handled, and was at it for about twenty minutes realigning parts and such, so I know I'm doing it correctly.

It's not that upsetting though. I was wanting more powerful looking hands, and am working on some now using parts of my broken V1, and another figure. I would have to remove this hands anyway if they were larger to transform him, so either way they would have to store in the trailer in vehicle mode.

Can't tell you the page but I had the same problem with my V1 the first week I had it and it's because the three ankle joints have to be transformed at just the right click on all three for the hands to fit and the arms to tab in. There's a photo in this thread describing it pretty well. Actually I joined the site after finding it. Have had 3 versions of the mold and no problems with the arms after that.

Thanks. It could be that. All the joint's on my new V2 are much tighter than the other versions I've handled, it's probably just not popping into place as easily as the previous ones have. I'll mess with it more tomorrow.

Post #736 on this thread shows it very clearly. It comes up on page 72 or 73 of this thread on my iPad, but it may differ depending on your posts per page settings.

Alright. That picture helped. Thank you. I got it transformed correctly with the hands attached. I was aligning the ankles correctly, but when I put the feet in place the ankle joints keep sliding one notch out of position on both sides. I had to press it in place with my fingertip after the feet were positioned, so it would hold.

I couldn't see it when they were in place, and I never had that issue with any other version, the tightness of this V2 seems to cause them to slip back just slightly. Anyway, now I know, and all is good now.

I know about coating the Vac-metal in Future to protect it, but has anyone tried it on the spoiler? I've heard about using tape on the trailer. I don't want to put it in Space Winnebago mode until it's protected.

I don't htink that'd work man.
The issue with scraping is because of lack of clearance space due to paint on the spoiler and paint on the trailer.
Putting more might change how things rub, but your tape is still going to be abrasive over time.

Really the best thing to do is just carefully sand the paint away in the grooves of the trailer.

Not sure what to do, I love this figure; however, I don't want a broken one! Still, the damage isn't significant enough to make me shell out the 200 bucks again.

Superglue maybe?

Crap. Saw your post and checked mine. Good news is that nothing is broken, bad news is that I have to include the word "yet"

The clear plastic from the roof on my V2 shows a bit stressmarks but nothing to really worry me.

However, the post connecting the windowhinge to the front/chest shows that same line in the painted plastic as yours has. Mine goes through on both sides:

Carefully touched it and it isn't just a line in the paint. It's in the plastic, as was evident when I moved the window slightly sideways. Just a matter of time before it breaks of.

Took the risk of transforming him into his robotmode, since I care little to nothing about the HR carmode (I'm a fan of Rodimus Prime, not Hot Rod). Figure survived the transformation, but I'm really worried now. This is clearly going to break. And then the altmode will be without a window and worse, the robot will be without a back.

Bloody design. It's not like there's a lot of stress on this joint. Neither in robot or in altmode. I've only transformed the figure a handful of time, always very carefully, and never done the RP altmode transformation (since I still have the file the inside of the trailer). No idea why this suddenly becomes a problem.

It looks to be caused by the metal pin, since the breakline is exactly on the pin. Maybe the best idea is to remove the pin, glue the broken part back on and making the pinhole larger with a drill.

That's exactly where the break was on my first V2 I ordered, I saw it as soon as I was inspecting the figure the first time. Mine was completely separated though. Looks like it's just a weak point.

After my experience with three versions of the mold, I think the most predominate problem is that the figure, and it's transformation relies on so many thin hinges, and tabs, and tight clearances. It looks great in all modes, but transforming it is more scary than fun.
