It's not that upsetting though. I was wanting more powerful looking hands, and am working on some now using parts of my broken V1, and another figure. I would have to remove this hands anyway if they were larger to transform him, so either way they would have to store in the trailer in vehicle mode. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/junkio...idophilus.html

There's a photo in this thread describing it pretty well. Actually I joined the site after finding it. Have had 3 versions of the mold and no problems with the arms after that. ![]() My feedback thread: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/junkio...daddytron.html |

I couldn't see it when they were in place, and I never had that issue with any other version, the tightness of this V2 seems to cause them to slip back just slightly. Anyway, now I know, and all is good now. I know about coating the Vac-metal in Future to protect it, but has anyone tried it on the spoiler? I've heard about using tape on the trailer. I don't want to put it in Space Winnebago mode until it's protected. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/junkio...idophilus.html

The issue with scraping is because of lack of clearance space due to paint on the spoiler and paint on the trailer. Putting more might change how things rub, but your tape is still going to be abrasive over time. Really the best thing to do is just carefully sand the paint away in the grooves of the trailer.

![]() Crap. Saw your post and checked mine. Good news is that nothing is broken, bad news is that I have to include the word "yet" ![]() The clear plastic from the roof on my V2 shows a bit stressmarks but nothing to really worry me. However, the post connecting the windowhinge to the front/chest shows that same line in the painted plastic as yours has. Mine goes through on both sides: ![]() Carefully touched it and it isn't just a line in the paint. It's in the plastic, as was evident when I moved the window slightly sideways. Just a matter of time before it breaks of. Took the risk of transforming him into his robotmode, since I care little to nothing about the HR carmode (I'm a fan of Rodimus Prime, not Hot Rod). Figure survived the transformation, but I'm really worried now. This is clearly going to break. And then the altmode will be without a window and worse, the robot will be without a back. Bloody design. It's not like there's a lot of stress on this joint. Neither in robot or in altmode. I've only transformed the figure a handful of time, always very carefully, and never done the RP altmode transformation (since I still have the file the inside of the trailer). No idea why this suddenly becomes a problem. It looks to be caused by the metal pin, since the breakline is exactly on the pin. Maybe the best idea is to remove the pin, glue the broken part back on and making the pinhole larger with a drill.

After my experience with three versions of the mold, I think the most predominate problem is that the figure, and it's transformation relies on so many thin hinges, and tabs, and tight clearances. It looks great in all modes, but transforming it is more scary than fun. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/junkio...idophilus.html
