Hmm, can't seem to find a non-video review of this guy. Though I'm sure somebody else has already done one, so feel free to move this. Anyways...

    My take on Grimstone.

Nice review! I'm just waiting for these sets to come out in Canada. They look seriously cool.

Great, informative review and nice pictures. Do you know if they improved the stability of the connections in the new wave of PCCs? I heard that previous waves had arms and legs popping off and flying everywhere due to loose connectors.

    Thanks for the comments y'all.

Yeah, go for the newer PCC. The Combaticons and Aerialbots sets are pretty unstable.

Destructicons is stable and the drones are neat, but Mudslinger is a pretty weak toy. Don't have the Rallybots, so no comment.

Constructicons and Dinobots are great though. Also, Constructicons have THUMBS, which is awesome. And the driller arm even has an articulated wrist. The excavator arm is meh except for the thumb though.

These guys are super cool, but I have to say that the bio on Grimstone is pretty weak for a dinobot. He's basically SG Slag/Snarl, imho.

Probably the most cohesive 5-pack theme yet, as other have noted. For all that Grimstone is neat and solid....I'm torn. It's a shame, really, that there's currently no sign of another core figure that this dude's drones will look good on.

Or a Decepticon, but good. Sledgehammer's bio is pretty funny though. He says that he knows there's another combiner team out there with the same name as his. Energon Constructicon Maximus maybe?

Who knows, maybe we'll get a Predaking set in future? Or a Beast Wars one. That would be pretty neat.

Normally I think that all PCCs are a pile o' crap, but these are freaking Dinobots for crying out loud! I will hunt these down and own them, because they look cool.

Also, I very much like the fact that the figures in this set don't have any of that crappy light grey plastic that is so common in modern Transformers.

The Frankenstein's Monster-esque look of the combined mode of PCCs is really fitting here, as I think this aesthetic suits the "Dinobots" down to the ground. Great colour scheme too.

    Will buy.

No, it's referencing the original Constructicons.

Constructicon Maximus' team was never referred to as such, just "Construction Team".

Granted, but I was referring them on account that their main/torso bot is also a Steamhammer. Either way, tis an amusing bio.

Was all "yeah, I need new toys" because all the cool new stuff wasn't around.

Found these at Walmart. Was going to avoid PCCs like the plague, but the ZOMG Dinosaurs factor kicked in.

Pleasantly surprised, worth the $15 and minor headache at the checkout.

kinda feeling like everyone's got Dinobot blinders on with this guy. Seems just as lame and in-cohesive (in design if not color in this case) as the other PCC combiners.

Still nice to hear he's a little more solid as a combined figure.

I was thinking this as well, except that I actually like PCC. :p

I got this set yesterday, and I'm not any more or less happy with it than any of the other sets, with the exception of Mudslinger.

    finally a dinobot combiner :D

only problem are the knees. he'll kinda flop over at the knees if he's not balanced/positioned right]
    hm
[it IS my first PCC set so i dunno if thats inherent in all of them or not but]

    still cool!

My Dinobots are a bit weak-kneed in combiner mode as well.
