Got blurr today and like the figure, wish the paint applications were not so messy. I have a lot of little swats of paint in incorrect places. I have dark blue pain on the white paint apps. Kind of disappointing. Dirge had similar paint issues, having a big swatch of silver missed paint across the whole left side of his right "boob".

Blurr has much tighter joints than my Drift, which is a plus. Buthis alt mode paint scheme looks to dull for me, which is okay though.

Mine also has messy paint apps and really tight joints but is otherwise ok.

I love his look, it's a perfect enough representation of the IDW version of the character. Thing thing that keeps getting me when I look at him is the head mold. I like it but it's odd. It conveys an oddly large amount of personality similar to how I felt the animated figures did but it just looks strange due to all the severe angles of it. His huge chin and turquoise eyes are also kind of unusual.

All in all its a great repaint/remold. I appreciate that they gave him not just a new head and nifty new weapons but also that they tried to distinguish the vehicles forms with a new spoiler. That little touch added a lot of value in my mind for the simple fact that they didn't have to do it. This gives me a lot of hope for the rumored Wheeljack remold of Tracks.

Now if only hasbro would crank out a generations Shockwave I could die happy.

The Drift mold is too cluttered in robot mode for a sleek, athletic 'bot like Blurr that's supposed to be the fastest Cybertronian alive so I dont think it's the best choice although the alt mode is accurate enough for his IDW Earth mode.

As a kid the appeal of Hot Rod, Kup & Blurr were that they all turned into weird, futuristic looking vehicles instead of regular cars and I would have sooner seen a unique mold with his Cybertronian alt mode from the Spotlight issue.

As Classics Hot Rod got a minor upgrade to his G1 design I was hoping Blurr would be likewise and it's disappointing that he's become "just another" car bot. I really hope Kup doesn't get the same treatment.

he's ok. needs a bit of fiddling to avoid parts clashing with each other when posing and the head needs to be a tad smaller for better proportion.

i like him. but not enough to purchase drift for now.

Awesome gun spoiled by poor paint qc of the hood. Number of paint apps itself is decent tho.

I don't ever really buy redeco's of guys besides Prime/UM and the Seekers, but it's good to know they actually look pretty different, even right next to each other that I can't not get him when I already have Drift

Been messing with him for a little while now and overall I have to say he's pretty good. Given the choice, I would go with Drift since I'm a sucker for swords, and I also think the head sculpt is slightly better for Drift. I do have a few minor paint issues that are a little noticeable in car mode, but it's not that bad and you can't tell in 'bot mode. I'd say he's worth getting even if you have Drift. The new weapons and head, and of course redeco, really do differentiate him.

I got Blurr ( and Dirge ) from Kapow Toys this morning and the opinion of my previous post in this thread still stands.

The QC seems a bit crap compared to Drift as well. I got the dodgy paint on the hood and the windshield won't tab into the chest properly in robot mode.

i got my blurr but the paintwork on it was chipped and scratched so i resigned myself to removing some of the paint from it. it actually turned out alright and even looks a bit more blurr like i think. his altmode also seems a bit more idw eath mode like too.

anyone else find it ironic that Blurr has a giant sniper rifle? Blurr to me doesnt seem like someone who can hold still long enough to focus on sniping the target.als kinda funny they gave him guns istead of blades-for a fast movin character, blades seem more effcient, zoomin past with my sword out. just strikes me as funny.

I really like how his guns and his rifle combine together for an uber sniper rifle. I love little weapon touches like that. It makes the weapon set "unique"

Except the roof doesn't match. I'd rather it be all the same blue, if there's nothing on the hood.

I picked this guy up today.

I love the Drift mold. Thought it might be new toy syndrome at first, but he's left my desk (ie, my "play-with" toys) for about a day or two.

So I already knew I'd like this guy.

However, I think new-toy-syndrome is hitting again. I'm pretty sure I like em both equally, but Blurr is getting the spotlight now because I'm not used to the mold with so much color. Drift has this awesome black and white with red highlights thing going... plus the swords. I like swords. Blurr has three shades of blue, plus highlights, and the guns are an awesomely well done switch from Drift's swords.

Headsculpt is probably the only thing I can complain about, and it's really splitting hairs to do it. It looks a little big compared to the face, perhaps too tall. I think if I were to improve on it, I'd make the "wings" a little less tall (definitely same length, the sweeping look is great!), and the little camera looking thing on top a little taller. Like I said, less than minor little details that really aren't that important.

This is a great recolor and (minor) remold from a very good mold - they managed to make it different enough, but still maintain the awesome from the first toy. If you're a fan of G1 characters (including Season 3, obviously, in the case of this toy) and liked the Drift mold, then you want this toy, too. If you hate Drift, but think Blurr is pretty neat, you want this toy. I'm generally not a recolor guy, but this one is definitely something to grab.

Yanno, I bet they'd make great partners...

EDIT: Man, I guess I got lucky. Was about to say mine has perfect paint apps, but there's one little itty bitty nick in the hood paint. Otherwise, perfect. Plus, I got him for $9 on sale at Walmart. There were two Dirges there, too, I'm hoping I can grab one tomorrow for payday. :D

I agree. It also gives a little more depth to an otherwise one-dimensional character. Well, I guess that makes him two-dimensional, but... eh. I dig dichotomy. :)
