Jazz is great figure and so is Tracks. I must be among the few who is not-a-fan of the Sunstreaker/Sideswipe/Red Alert mold. What ruins it for me are the bottom legs being too hollow. (I realize WFC Megatron has hollowed out legs, too, but the design is superior and it's just a much more effective use of space there.) Also, a minor thing, but my Sunstreaker's gun does not clip onto the underside of the car very well. I can't believe how popular that mold is actually...Classics like Rodimus, Starscream, Bumblebee, etc. were much better. It's good to see they've returned to the same standard of quality as the original Classics line with the Generations/Reveal the Shield line. Cyclonus is one of the few gems of the Classics 2.0 line, IMO. The 2.0 series is such a disappointment in terms of quality and the choices they made for over-sized figures, such as Powerglide, Silverbolt and Onslaught.

BTW, Blurr is everywhere now. What's up with that?!

Well that's the great thing (one of em anyway) about collecting a shitload of Transformers. Along with the toys themselves, we also end up having an abundance of accessories, meaning that we can switch them up when things like this happen. I still haven't decided if I'll pick him up yet (he literally just started showing up in my shit town), but if I do, I'll probably just use the small guns & give the big one to somebody else too.

Also if nothing else, taking a look at this figure reminded me how much influence a paint scheme can have on differentiating one design from another, especially in the car mode.

I got this guy a few weeks.

Great remold of a good mold.

    B+

I think the guns on him a homage to Armada Blurr who was a sniper.

I love him. I was confused by the head at first (still have the G-1 design stuck in my head) until I saw the IDW design for it, but I've gotten used to it. It's a good design, just not what you saw in the cartoon (which isn't a problem... see the Armada Blurr Redeco from Energon I think)

Using two guns on the holster is beyond brilliant. It's like our favorite speeder is a quick drawing fighter too, or something. The larg rifle does nothing for me, but incidentally is a great addition to Perceptor and makes a better "sniper rifle" for him than Kup's (which always struck me as more of an old man's shotgun).

One point of interest is the transformation scheme of his feet. It's pretty brilliant.

    Great buy and great design.

Yeah, the feet (and legs in general) were the first thing that appealed to me in robot mode (even more so than Drift due to the colour scheme), and it looks like I'm probably gonna break down & get him this week if I don't find Wheeljack, Kup or Jazz at Toys R Us the next time I head there.

I just repainted my PCC minicon Caliburst into Haywire!!! Now my Blurr is a Targetmaster. :D

So no need to blow off huge sums of $$$ to get the actual Japanese exclusive versions.

Found one Blurr today after never seeing him. I didn't really want him, but he's got guns I could always give to other characters, and I wanted a nice Generations figure to break up my constant buying of movie figures. Y'know, add some variety. I like the Drift toy so I was sure Blurr was at least gonna be decent...

...well he's not decent, he's damn excellent. The new weapons compliment the original mould great, and the fact that he can hold his sniper rifle in many different poses better than most non-TF action figures astounds me. He can snipe from the ground, sidearm it, use aim standing and stand with it at ease. And not only are the awesome little pistols a great bonus, the ability to make a bipod is even better. The rifle changes the entire character of the sculpt, and despite almost being identicle he and Drift look so different from eachother just because of their weapons.

The headsculpt is great. Never cared for Blurr's awfully generic G1 head. This one looks great and implies a not a speedster, but a bullet. The only thing I don't like is that the car mode looks a tad generic. I wish there was some kind of flame or pinstripe deco on the doors ar somewhere to liven it up. Also the white stripe on mine is more beige. Mehhhh... I think mine will be staying in robot mode for the most part.

Still, overall I was very surprised by how great he was.

Did anyone else take the doors off his waist? I find that I like his sillouhette a whole lot more with those gone.

But then he loses the holsters, and those are just too cool.

Also he becomes a really fucked-up car.

If the guns are in his hands and he's on display, you don't need either of those. And what I'm saying is he looks better on display without the doors there.

My daughter got this for her birthday, (it was everywhere here a couple months ago and this is what she picked.)

Anyway, I'm not a huge fan of the mold but it does look excellent color-wise IMHO.

Also, does anyone display theirs in stunt driving mode? I.e. with the gun rifle clipped under the car but the front peg out so the car looks like it is driving on two wheels? Really dynamic IMHO.

He's OK, not a big fan of his head sculpt though, but I like him fairly well otherwise.

Hey all, has anyone done a review/comparison with United Blurr? I know there are some pretty significant changes, colour-wise, but any opinions as to which is the better version?

I think I might be able to pick this up cheap, but if the TakaraTomy version is considerably better, I might plunk down the extra cash for one...
