I am definitely looking forward to buying this. I only have one use of this mold (Universe Starscream), and this looks FAR cooler.

From all versions of the seeker mold that are brought to us as Thrust, I'd say this one is my second favorite. For me the Henkei still beats it by 1 mile, but thats just because my focus is on cartoon accurate figures. So this new guy is nothing for me personally. I do not mind the stripes on my Henkei Thrust.

But it is really nice to see that Hasbro gives other the option to add Thrust to their collection. This one looks really nice with Hasbros Ramjet. So for those who cannot afford the Henkei (or do not like them --> Not liking Henkei is the right of all sentient beings! XD ) or the Botcon version (which has nice wings but looks disgusting in my opinion) this is a nice move from Hasbro.

Altho baught on site, I gotta say that teh detachable wing thrusters that can be attached to the tail really does nothing for me.

That's what customizing is for tho.

pre-ordered and just waiting on the mailman.

i love everything about it, but when i display it in alt mode, not going to put the weapons on the wings. the thinner wings make the weapons really stand out.

gotta start the hunt for a Ramjet *Sigh*

G1 figures were expensive in the 80s? And what, they're cheap now?

They were dirt cheap back then compared to now. The prices have well outpaced inflation

    You're kidding, right?

Back then, if memory serves, the regular cars and jets averaged $13-$14.

Now, for the same cars and planes they average $10.

I guess that's because you're in Canada. Here in the US, they've stayed the same price or have actually gotten cheaper. MOST definitely, if you factor in inflation. FO' geet abou' eet.

Seekers ran from $13-$19.99 depending on if they were on sale, or not. I know because I've had various seekers MIB with retail stickers on them. Cars ran from $8.99 to $15.99.

The TRU reissues were what $25 for the seekers and $19 for the cars? Prices for new items have stayed pretty static.

WANT!! I missed out on the Botcon seekers and too cheap to buy the Henkei so I definitely want this. Anybody knows if Hasbro plans to bring TC and rest of Coneheads over too? Because I still don't have them (well unless you count the TC that a fellow TFW member made for me on commission).

I'm not a great fan of this version of this mold. I don't like the way the VTOL fans sit above the wings. (Fortunatly I have Botcon Thrust). If they'd released Dirge, I think I'd be more interested.

Prices on the boxes of some of my MIB figures:

    Skywarp: $11.92 (USD)
    Blaster: $18.99 (USD)
    Dirge: £9.99 (GBP)
Smokescreen: £7.49 (Reduced from £9.99) (GBP)
    Blitzwing: £8.99 (GBP)
    Sludge: £12.95 (GBP)

If you take inflation into account, transformers were certainly more expensive in the 80's. When Classics came out here a Deluxe was £9.99 - the same price that an Autobot car was £25 years ago!

So you're saying Henkei > Generations > Botcon? I guess I feel the opposite. I have the Botcon one and I'm completely satisfied with it. I like the colors better than the Henkei and think the wings are shaped well. And then the Generations, though I prefer the Botcon wings, I think he has a very interesting color scheme. His shade of maroon is very nice, and I love the gold accents. But the Henkei, he's a snoozer.

While it certainly looks nice, there's something that's really bugging me. Maybe it's the chromed cockpit, I dunno. I'll most likely still be buying it, though.

I think the reviewer is in the Philippines, so he might be speaking from experience there.

Anyway, a good review, and Thrust looks great. It's cool that they're bringing him and Red Alert to the US. Now for Thundercracker!
