Here is a pic review of Hunt for the Decepticons Voyager Class Night OPS Ratchet.

BIO:
Autobot Ratchet has been part of some of the most brutal, destructive battles the galaxy has ever seen, but he has never faced anything like Payload. He can feel the power of the charging Decepticon rumbling through the ground. He just hopes that he is enough to stop the rampaging Decepticon courier.

This Ratchet is a straight repaint of the 07 Voyager mold. No retooling or modifications to the mold. We all pretty much know this mold by now so no need to go into details about it.

Somethings to note:
When looking at the following stock photos from Hasbro, you will notice that this figure is missing the red cross behind the Autobot symbols that form the side of truck/side legs.

You will also notice this one does not have the red detailing on his knife/axe weapon that folds out in his right hand.

Also no grey/silver detailing on the inner lower legs either as you can see in the Hasbro photos.

Also this head is painted different.

Now granted this is a NOT FOR SALE stamped final sample, but looking at the in package shots and I have also seen one not stamped NFS and those are missing these details sadly as I think they would have really added to the figure.

I hope I am wrong, but Hasbro does photoshop the crap out of their figures.

I dig the alt mode's colors alot. But his colors in bot mode seemingly clash or something. And what's up with the two different color autobot logos? It's ok, for a repaint. Better than the desert version we got for ROTF, but not as good as the first two in my opinion. Plus the deluxe was a really good robot version of Ratchet and that hurts this repaint too as the deluxe has just come out and is still fresh in my mind.

 

Hey look at the boxed one on the front. The black missing on your's head is on that one. so maybe its just a few pre-Release ones.

You would THINK that Hasbro would at least include SOMETHING new with this mold. I bought Recon Ironhide again because there was enough NEW stuff to warrant another purchase. But this?

 

What a difference some new colors make. I might pick up Nemesis Ratchet if I see one on clearance.

I disliked this mould back when it was brand new... and the new colours do nothing to help it IMO.

Looks like sh*t but Im still digging it for some reason.

I think the tires are throwing the smooth black contrast off for me.
If they were flat black...

 

I still like the mold. Not enough to get another but, this one looks nice in black.

 

Blegh, paintjob looks like shit to me. I think my biggest problem is the light gray plastics. Maybe if that was way darker it would have looked better in both modes.

 

They could paint it red and blue for all I care .... that mold is still not prime enough for me.
