I'd love to buy this guy, but does anybody know how big he is in comparison to some sort of common cookie?

    Edit:
Oops. Looks like I have to read before I post. Never mind. :p

Slightly off-topic, those pictures reminded me that I always mistransform Tankor. Personally, I think this looks way better:

I am confident that this will be another sell-out for FansProject.

Even if Hasbro were to release their own version of Springer it would never be this good. This is another "home-run" for FansProject. They make the best third-party toys out there, no doubt about it.

My only hope here is that reprolabels makes a set for this guy.

Can anyone who has the Grimlock sword from the G3 set, let me know if “Springer” can hold it?
    A pic would be appreciated.

    Many thanks

You mean comparing the $10 toy to the $80 toy? That's not even close to a fair fight.

Also, "again"? Isn't this the first individual toy that Fansproject have released? Hasbro have never done after-market kits, so you can't really compare City Commander to any of their stuff.

I'm still waiting for him to arrive. As long as he's on Astrotrain's level and not Octane/Tankor's, I'll be happy.

Anyone have any tips on tightening his knees?

The looseness of the pin-hinge knees is my only complaint about this figure. I was thinking of using clear nail polish...but I actually can't think of a way to remove the pin or get the nail polish worked into the joint without getting nail polish on parts of his leg that I don't want.

Mine showed up today. I still have not opened it yet, probably won't until tomorrow. Looks pretty sweet in the box though.

On a whim I checked to see how Warbot would look on the G3 trailer and had another idea?

What if the extra cradle piece from Warbot could fit on to roller's weapon hardpoint? Then roller could act as a sort of taxi carrier, with the G3 trailer's base mode as a runway!

Sadly, the peg on the cradle is slightly too big for the hole. U can jam it in, but it's not tall enough to clear Warbot/heli mode's underside from roller.

    So close.

Oh, and the die-cast tailsection's weight makes it tip backwards.

If FP had done a little work on the cradle it woulda been SWEET

Of course, if the peg was smaller, then it wouldn't do what it was intended to do, so...

dammmit, FP screwed up by not making EVERYTHING cross-compatible! grr!

to make it up to us they need to release an Omega Supreme wannabe in-scale with the g3 trailer and sell it for $5

Kinda thought they'd do that before the figure was released, but good pics regardless.

The way he's got his head cocked in the guns akimbo pose makes him totally look like he's channeling Sazh from FFXIII.

I just love, love, love this dude.

-the ball joint on his head is awesome. There is nothing special about it, it just has a really good range of motion.

-Nice tight joints and high quality plastic. The packaging is sweet too.

-The sword is nowhere near as fragile as I was expecting. It is still scary looking thin, but now that I have handled it I am definitely not worried about it.

-The hardest part of Transformation for me is the damn arms, not so much to armored car mode, more helicopter mode I have problems.

-The mini comic is great although the instructions are a little hard to follow at times.

-Overall I like him more than City Commander and I do hope FP can continue to do these single figure releases over add on kits.

Agree on the arms. I can transform it to armored car with no problem, but I still need the instructions for the helicopter mode.

I added a repro Autobot sticker with white background to its chest. It looks much more awesome now :D

Me too :thumb  I love the white background logos.

I forgot to say the knees on mine kind of suck, he holds a pose, but they are not tight by any means. They look like they should ratchet.
