He's cool. Better than Spider-Bike. Legs are a little awkward because of the panels on the inside leg. Car mode Robot mode With Spider-Bike
Does he have any weaponry, Automorph or a gimic of anysort ? Heck knows how many months i'll have to wait for these to show up in the U.K.
Arms can be straightened if you fold the shoulders (pieces with headlights) horizontally. No gimmicks besides transforming.
So you can prevent shoulder boobage. LOL When was he released or as it been already out? If so I'll get him, eventually.
Sure would be nice if you could get the wheels to the inside, the way they're shown on the box/instructions. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...ansformers-crossovers-spidey.html#post4503685
Arms rotate, ball jointed and ratcheted elbows, head turns, waist turns, legs go forward, back, rotate at the thigh, double jointed knees. Wrists rotate. So, yeah, poseable. Expect his legs are awkward because of the kibble on the inside of the legs. Makes it hard to put his legs straight.
^ Exactly right... that kibble's supposed to be on the outside, but it can't be accomplished without removing the legs and switching them.
Right... and the paint deco is then facing the rear, which is nutty. The irritating part is that the picture shown on the packaging (screws to the back, leg kibble to the outside) can't actually be accomplished.
the drawing shows the screw holes in the legs you also see the bottom crotch screw hole but dont see the top crotch screw hole because the front spoiler of the car is not folded up and is covering it, so the drawing is wrong. also if you file down the screw buldges on the leg the leg kibble can lock into place
Spider-Man Crossovers Car was released last month (January) along with the new Hulk bulldozer and X-Force Wolverine.
After looking at Gryph's primed version of this mold, I really want to see someone do a Crasher repaint of it...
The "finished" robot diagram in the instructions has it mistransformed the same way the card photo does, the front spoiler thing is not turned in and the waist is left unrotated so that the legs can be spun around with the wheels in. This leaves screws to the front and the painted detail on his hips facing rear. It just seems like somebody wasn't thinking ahead when they designed this. The arms don't seem to hang right either since the shoulders are buried inside the front fenders, which don't even peg into anything so it's hard to tell what position they are actually supposed to be in for robot mode. The motorcycle was a much better Spider-Man. Hell even the helicopter from the 2-pack is better than this if you keep the Iron Man off of it. About the only good thing I can say about this is it's nifty how the giant spider logo on the cockpit ends up on his back just like on the human version of the character. Completionists only, everybody else stay away from this.
I asked how long it would take me to get a Spider-Man Race car in Feb 2010 The answer was December 2010 as I just got him from The Entertainer for £8.00 - as is often the case you can only find something on Clearance. The thing I just noticed about Marvel Crossovers is that there UK retail price is £14.99 or £12.99 but they are pretty much the same size as say HFTD Seaspray who is retailing at £19.99 Spidey's Not to bad I much prefer the Iron Man car to him mind. but he's OK his legs gave me a few minutes of puzzlement as they don't line up as well as you think they will so its a little confusing the first time you put him back in car mode. I like to pose the shoulder panels 90 degrees to the instructions as no only does it look better it makes Spidey look a little more petit and adds a bit more motion to his arms than the official way. I actually got both the Black and colored versions - I like the White Spiders on the Black one more and the car looks cool in black - but I think once I fill in the weblines on hisas I usually do Spider will look coolest in red & blue. He's a little bit more playable than the Helicopter Spider-Man (incidently does anyone know if that Helicopter on a card is a repaint (like the Spider-Cycles) or a reissue ? Also the Spider-Man cycle is out again now (or soon) is that a 4th color version or just a reissue of the last deco they did with the slightly darker blue on it ? As in some photos his legs seem to be black not blue !! I would have prefered it if he'd had the movable angling feet & a tilting neck some Transformers have as that would allow for more drmatic posses but he's still good fun anyway. One thing I did notice is the black one asctually does have painted wheel hubs (black hubs on grey tires) they just don't show up well in photos.
