Megatron - Pic Heavy! Here is a quick photo comparison of the Japanese Animated version of Voyager class Cybertron mold Megatron! Sig pictures are to be no larger than 40KB in file size and should be no larger than 300 pixels in height and 500 pixels wide - 2005 StaffMold is exactly the same, no modifications. From the pics we have seen, this guy does not have a high metallic shine to him. It is the same paint that can be found on some parts of the Hasbro version already, only the Japanese version is a little darker and is painted on the body as well. The over all appearance of the figure does give him a bit more of a show accurate appearance with purple CON insignia. All the black parts are the same as well as all the black paint. You will also notice that the under layers and hidden areas are not painted. The plastic is almost the same white color as the Hasbro version. The red plastic on the Japanese version on his arm canon, hand, and shoulders diamonds are softer and a shade lighter than the Hasbro version. The Hasbro version has more of a translucent/transparency to it. The heels on the feet can show you the difference in the shade of the regular non-painted plastic. The grey paint on the face is the same. Take a look at the pics and let them decide if you think the price of importing this figure or any are worth the higher price tag. Hope it helps in making the decision and the price tags of the import are hefty. To me the difference is not worth it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here you can see how the JP version on the left plastic is softer because the blade can bend over: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Check out my sales: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/items-...es-thread.html |

I like the darker hue of the plastic on the Tomy version than the Hasbro version... should buy this and strip the silver paint and keep it as just the plastic, and I bet that would make an awesome looking figure. |

Thanks for the great pics and review though. It is going to be interesting to see how many of these JP Animated figures will be different enough to make them a "must".
