Have you folded him up correctly? Mine fits in there fine after folding Frenzt up the way the instructions show and not the way I thought it should be.

^ Yeah, I've pretty much written off my local stores and just wait for HTS. I still hunt when I can because it saves the cost of shipping, but 1) It's usually pointless, 2) I'm stuck with the bus, 3) I shouldn't even spend as much time as I do posting, let alone looking for plastic.

If I do it like the instructions show he's even harder to fit in. I had to squeeze him into a tighter ball and still turn him sideways to get in there.

Then you'll get him and realize that his hip articulation is all screwy.

Seriously, I was looking forward to this guy, but his messed up hip joins just ruin it for me. I mean it's not a horrible figure, but those hips just don't make it all that fun to play with.
I know there's a way of fixing it by cutting pieces of plastic off of the joins, but I'm never comfortable taking a knife to my toys. Too much room for error.

Other then that, he's ok. Would have been pretty cool, but as is, he's just an ok figure.

    [EDIT]
He is growing on me, though.

I shoved him in there somehow..folded it like the instructions but folded further...still resistance, but just pushed more and left his ass there.

I am really suprised at the amount of people having a hard time getting Frenzy in the hood. I found it quite easy. Do you guys pull down the two "claw-gun" things when you put him in there? It gives him a lot more clearance.

The Human Alliance Barry is so awesome because I hate the deluxe mold; that robot sucks with weak legs to support that body... Definitely Barry is tied with BB for the first place H.A. figure..
Skids is second , Sideswipe is last. I am definitely not needing to get Mudflap until it goes to clearance...

I must be the only guy who actually liked the original deluxe. That said, I decided to grab it off the shelf and transform it next to the HA figure.
    I gotta say...It's like putting a G1 toy next to a Masterpiece.

The hip joints still kinda bug me, but I have to admit the figure is really growing on me.

    RE Barricade DX :

Rotate the panels on the Deluxe which contain his rear windows so they face forwards - it make him stand up straight then. and you can also put his upper foot spikes under the window piece for added stability.

Also wiggle his head upwards on the hinge as far as possible (not force required though) and slide the two halves of his hood under the neck piece (the part that looks like a set square shape from the side sits on top of his hood half) it leaves a very small gap in the front where the hood halves touch his beard but otherwise looks way better than having his head up in the air and his chest far to wide apart.

If you do that and remember to rotate his shoulder piece he's super stable and super possible as now his shoulders are not blocked and he doesn't fall over.

    'Simples' and no mods required.

Doesn't matter now that he has the HA version, though.

Be a bit unfair if you have Human Alliance Barricade beating up on the Dx Bumblebee mind.

Damn. This figure has really surprised me. When we first saw photos of it, I thought i was going to be my last favorite HA figure. Quite the opposite, actually. He's beaten out Bumblebee, becoming my overall favorite HA so far.

The hip joints are a little funky, but they don't really bother me too much. Neither does the hand-less left arm.

Frenzy is pretty damn awesome as well, and he's probably the best movieverse Frenzy figure to date.

    9/10.

i apologize if someone already posted this.

i find him more appealing with lower legs mistransformed this way:

im about to attempt a simple mod of unscrewing and turning his ankle joint to release his foot spikes ( if that doesn't affect transformation, this will be my permanent transformation scheme for him)

absolutely my favorite HA figure so far (i hope HA Jazz is even better)

I would have to say that HA barricade is my favorite of the line. He doesn't have the hollow torso like the others do, really awesome to pose w/ BB. I hope hasbro keeps improving the HA figures w/ Jazz on the way and here's hoping Sideways and Jolt get released too.

Starting to run low on actual movie characters they could do without a bigger scale of this line that costs more. The list, IIRC would be...

    Bumblebee (done)
    Barricade (done)
    Sideswipe (done)
    Sideways
    Skids (done)
    Mudflap (done)
    Jolt
    Jazz (done)

And I think that's all of them. No other "normal" size Transformer cars in the movies, unless I'm missing one.

I have to say one of the best HA figs for me.....I'm a Movie Barricade fan anyways....but still, this guy is just too cool.

And I have to admit, I do like this:

Please keep us posted on that ankle swap :thumb

i unscrewed and turned the ankle joint around to release the foot spike. the procedure did not affect transformation to alt mode so that is how i'll transform him from now on.

also, it seems that the hip and leg articulation is now less funky/a little more natural for some reason... or it could just be me

    thanks!
