ok guys just got this in today and wanted to show it off before i put it on a sunstreaker as just waiting for him to come in the mail! id also like to say this is my first review in aything so go easy on me! firstly i have to say for a garage kit company it came in a nice little plastic box and baggies with some custom artwork and keeps it all neat and tidy on the journey from china! the kit includes a decent instruction sheet and the sticker sheets look good, in my package i also got a $5 coupon off my next mastercollectables purchase! lastly all i can show you is how the parts come, as i said the sunstreaker is on his way so cant wait to get them on and do this custom! the parts feel of a good quality and looks like the came out of the moulds very cleanly! so hope this little write up helps some of you guys thanks for reading!!

I ordered the Kit from Mastercollectables.com. They sold all 100 of their kits already. The kit was actually shipped from Singapore, where SGCollect is from. Though it is possible that they made it in China. I received my kit today but did not receive the $5 coupon. Even if I did, what else is there to buy? I think the tackle box was a bit too much. A smaller box would have done the job. it seems to be a waste of space, However, I could use it to store other Classics accessories now. The WJ Conversion kit is filled with accessories that really have no use in alt mode. The quality is pretty good. The mouthpiece and wings are spray painted silver. The head is nice. The wings seemed to be copied directly from the G1 wings. One side of the wings is just flat with no texture, just like G1.The backpack that holds the wings looks almost the same as the Sunstreaker engine. It is difficult to pivot the wings while they are on the backpack because it is derived from the Sunstreaker engine. There is little originality in this kit. They could at least be a little bit more creative and allowed the accessories to be attached in alt mode somehow. For the price I would like a little bit more creative integration at least. At least everything is snap on. The spoiler is very loose though. It also requires some shaving to fit the parts perfectly. In robot mode, the middle front bumper really has no place to go. The packs are similar. This is a disadvantage because the wing movement is limited I had a loose Sideswipe available so I decided to try it out. Caution: the little clip in the rear window snapped off of mine when I was trying to connect the legs with the window in alt mode. Not having the clip did not really make any difference though in terms of stability. Aesthetically it looks a little better without the clip. It really is meant for Sunstreaker since the fists, hips and shoulders are placed differently, but it still works. You really need adhesive for the spoilers since they are so loose. thanks for adding this info, mines all fitted - however painting is an issue at the moment in the UK due to me painting outside or in the garage and were being snowed in at the moment!! i will keep it updated!
Got my kit today. I got the $5 coupon on next purchase but it expires March 2010. Unless they plan on releasing something (like the Gundam Prime since it's the only other kit they have shown but unlikely) by then the coupon is useless. The parts are made from white resin. I think the colored parts were white resin too but painted said colors. It looks like the parts were either straight repros of other parts (like G1 Wheeljack parts) or custom built by hand (not computer 3-D modeling) and duplicated using resin. It's not bad for a garage kit but certainly not on par with stuff from Fansproject or even BTS.
Wow, I'm sorry, but for what little you get from that, it does not in any way warrant a $45 price tag. A kit like that shouldn't go over $25 tops. Hell, most of their stuff is actually just modified versions of pieces that already exist, so the engineering is even minimized. And since they sold out, I hope that somebody is gonna recast these and start selling them for what they are really worth.
so a recast of a recast? wow those parts would really have crap quality this kit is well made and myself i am happy i bought it.
I have to agree with this. It does seem a bit steep. Smaller packaging would have possibly helped keep costs down. It does actually look quite nice, though. Yeah, because that worked out SO well with the Cliffjumper kit, didn't it.
ill agree the cliffjumper kit went so bad when recast again and would dread to think how bad this kit would be after that!
It's a nice looking set, but I agree the price should be $25-ish. Maybe they're charging more for the labor of making them, but since people have to be somewhat skilled to do their own labor for installing them correctly, they may find it cheaper to just make up their own parts from their own parts box.
