Seems really simple to me. The clamp weapon can normally already plug into Ratchet's back, they designed a hole for that. Problem is it's a circle hole with a tiny tab on it, so it can only go in one way. If you cut the tab off the part on the clamp weapon (on the back of the spare wheel), I reckon you can then rotate it the other way around, open the cage, and voila, just like in the picture. :)

edit: just tried it(without cutting the tab off yet) and it falls just like in the picture - perfect. So yeah, all you need to do is cut the tab to plug it into his back, otherwise it will just fall off.

edit2: wow, it even makes him more screen accurate AND is a good way to get that clam out of sight..makes you wonder why they added that tab in the first place!

There's a little hole on a panel on his back that the weapon plugs into; no mods necessary.

Nice. I like the subtle touches like the mech-alive pistons. He is so bought and going next to my Ani. Lockdown.

Although I don't think the engine block goes on Ratchet this time around. Rather, I think it's reverse of how Animated did it: Ratchet has the EMP gun/device/whatever and both he and Lockdown can use it.

Great review! As long as you're taking pic requests, can you post one of him with the hip-wheels rotated back 90 degrees?

Also, I'm not a big fan of the hook hand. Does it look like it's possible to flip it around backwards and still transform into vehicle mode?

This actually doesn't work anyways, because the right wheel gets obstructed by a part on his waist on that side.

As for the hook, there isn't much you can do about it; maybe somebody will come up with a mod for it.

Edit: I think that the wheels are hinged as part of his transformation. It makes transforming him from alt. to robot easier, and definitely doesn't seem like an aesthetic feature.

    He looks AWESOME!

This will be the next and last ROTF figure I ever buy. I'm sick to death of the line, but I love the Lockdown character.

I really really want to like it, but I just can't. Something about it just doesn't look right to me.

This review sold it to me.

Lockdown looked really cool design-wise before now... but now that I see that he's actually a good figure, I really want to pick him up. I wasn't so keen on the head before, and I'm still not now, but I'll still buy him.

Can you take a picture of his legs in a more digitigrade manner? I want to see how it looks with the "chicken leg" design of the original concept art.
