Here are some pics and a brief review of Revenge of the Fallen Infiltration Soundwave, which comes with a redeco of Bumblebee as part of the N.E.S.T. Battle Pack, priced at about $25

Robot Mode



The Soundwave is notblack.
The Soundwave is blacknot.
The Soundwave is black.........................not.
In case you missed it, Infiltration Soundwave is NOT black, contrary to the mislabling it was given by TFormers.com.
This Soundwave is more of a light, dull, cobalt blue.






He also has brick red plastic, and his satellite panels are black plastic. He has a red fade on his arms, yellow fire detail on his chest, a silver face, silver Decepticon emblem, and, oddly, a light orange (almost "peach" color) on the panel below his chin and painted on his legs. He also has dark red translucent plastic. The Ravage missile is dark grey plastic.



Infiltration Soundwave is, in my opinion, second only to Black Soundwave in terms of deco. He's definitely much better than the dull gray original release Soundwave, and I like his colors better than G1 Colors Soundwave from the "Gathering at the Nemesis" set.





The only thing I don't like about his deco is that weird orange paint. Some people might have a problem with the "flame" design on his chest, but I like it. I also like how the Decepticon emblem looks like a lapel pin, making Soundwave a Boss Pimp.


Alternate Modes (Satellite/Space Cruiser)



Infiltration Soundwave has the most colorful alt. modes of the four Soundwave decos. He's still primarily blue, with red translucent plastic that mimics the glowing red portions that Soundwave had in the movie (and a red visor on his alt. mode "head" which is accurate). He also has silver paint on his satellite panels, with a red fade on the ends that is supposed to mimic them glowing as he goes through Earth's atmosphere.











Overall, I think Infiltration Soundwave is the best choice of a Soundwave for people who don't like the weak original deco and don't want to spend $100+ for Black Soundwave or $50 for G1 Colors Soundwave. At $25, the N.E.S.T. Battle Pack is worth the price just to get this Soundwave (not to mention an offer for an exclusive Ravage redeco, and a Bumblebee repaint). Infiltration Soundwave is, in my opinion, the best deco next to Black Soundwave. The colors really look great, even better in person than the pics might show.
If you have yet to pick up an RotF Soundwave, or aren't happy with one you might have now, definitely check Infiltration Soundwave out. He's pretty cool!

Boss Pimp Megas XLR Soundwave will be mine.

 

I love color blending, and his panels look amazing. And yes I think this is the 2nd best of all four with Black Soundwave leading.

Loving the colors on this one. The satellite panels look great with the silver to red colors.

 

i would like to iliterate that he is not black....heck after we saw the latest images people STILL thought he was black after seeing the images......will get the set

I initially assumed with blue and red and flame paint apps, that he's trying to pass himself off as Prime.

Yeah, that orange piece in the middle of his chest really throws me off.

 

seeing these pics has made me realize, there are 4 versions of ROTF Soundwave's deluxe toy....in a period of like 6 months....

I'm kicking myself for hesitating on the Chara one. I'll end up with them all, but damn, I shoulda jumped on it when I had the chance.

 

Still don't care. Not many of the ROTF figures are impressing me. I bought the Ice Cream truck today, but I hate it and it's flawed, so I'm going to take it back tomorrow.

As for my other deluxes, I have Rampage who is the nicest of the lot I have, but needs a lot more paint apps. The only other I have is the original ROTF Soundwave, but apart from his robot mode, I don't really like him. I'm not sure if I should try selling him or not.
If anyone has an opinion on whether or not I should, let me know. I'd be interested in your opinion and your reason why (by the way, I don't like ROTF Soundwave mould-wise, so I would never pick up any other version anyway).

 

Looks like I can pass on this 2-pack, the G1 version from 'Gathering at...' is the best in my opinion.

This one looks like another re-paint Soundwave into Blaster figure like the Cybertron series.Pass.

Hmm......not bad. I'll probably scoop this set. I don't have A Soundwave or a BB from RotF yet cuz I haven't really been sold on em yet. This is the most thorough look I've taken at him, and I while I'm not a fan of his bot mode, I actually really like the alt mode.
