Hello my fellow TransFans! I just got my hands on IG-TF0003 Masterpiece Grimlock Upgrade Kit! Again~ from ToyArena, I think they are the fastest with these imports for USA! Disclaimer: I am not a professional grader/rater so please take my review with a grain of salt and cast your rocks upon yourself when you start to become critical of this review. (shout out to Shadow_Stitch) The purpose of this review: To show enough pics to give you an idea of whether or not you want to get it! Money is tight in our tough economical times~ We must be picky of what we buy! Enough talk, on to the review: Overview: - An upgrade kit for Masterpiece Grimlock MP-08. - Includes a gold crown - Maccadam's Old Oil House Cup - Miniature Thrust Jets PROS: - Quality of the material used is good. Doesn't look like it will break or chip. - Crown, Cup, and Thrust fit nicely just as they should. CONS: - Thrust is not transformable - Detailing is quite average - Not enough bang for the buck (as explained in conclusion) Conclusion: - For the retail price of $14.99 I am slightly disappointed. This seems more like a $10 or less kit. Basically your are paying a premium for small accessories since it is Transformer-related. - This item doesn't have the "must-have" vibe around it, however it is still good if you have extra $. Overall Grade: - C: This item does not have the "regret" factor if you do decide to pass on it.
What color is the crown again? Guess overall it depends on how much you want the accessories (crown especially), but I'm not too interested. Edit: OK, now we know what color everything is, thanks. Interesting that the baby Thrust is based on the Henkei toy design

Thanks for the pics, that actually looks terrible. If this is the quality of the rest of their products, they are off my list of 3rd party companies. Maybe I don't know my TF history, but is the crown suppost to look so "melted"? Nothing on this thing looks crisp (plastic residue on the winds of Thrust). The best looking part is probably the mug. And I already have a full teaset for him that is useless.
Seconded. The crown coming with that Limited-ed "comic-color" Grimlock looks to be molded more crisply and sits on the head better. Hopefully we'll have another 3rd party step up to the plate and do this one better.
Wow, other than the cup (in which I have no interest, anyway), that looks like poop. The quality of their Auto-Scout is SO much better.
I'm disappointed in that crown as well and I don't give a rat's ass about the rest. Could we get more photos of the crown? Can it slide any further down on Grimlock's head?
Any help with this? I have this in my BBTS pile of loot and I'm wondering if I should cancel the order based on the sculpt of the crown.
