I would like to let you know that I HAAAAATEEE partsformers AND cheating transformations. I would be the last person to make one of my figures like that. But in SSwipe's case I decided to give it a try just to see and it won me over. I brought both the deluxe and the HA here to college and took the deluxe home and put it in a drawer after taking the backpack off the HA.

It honestly makes the deluxe obsolete as it pwns it with aesthetics in both modes. Once again I would be the last person to buy a partsformer yet this time and maybe the only time ever I have made an exception that improved the figure 100% in my eyes. I am also not even a displayer but I transform my figures back and forth but he is just beautiful with that backpack off. Makes his transformation smoother too.

I have removed my Sideswipe's backpack too, and he is MUCH better! But, I want to do something with his backpack part and fashion it into some kind of shield or weapon he can hold. So far, I've added or removed that handle and now have it on (or under) the front bumper. I'm still working on it and plan on posting pics when done.

I just pretend that it's a Grenade tossing drone...

I turned my backpack kibble into a shelter for Epps!

I had thought of that, or if there were enough joints in that part of the toy, maybe make it a garbage can for Epps to go into.

I'd like it to be some sort of handheld weapon. I had EVEN though of some sort of ridable board like the Silver Surfer.

Wow you went all the way. I am currently fiddling with the kibble of Voyager Megatron and HASS so I may build a small homeless shelter soon out of those two .

To anyone who has no idea what we are talking about, just buy this toy already since you see how fun it is.

Bought Sideswipe yesterday, and loving it! I didn't waste any time and removed the two screws attaching the backpack.

I figured a decent way to incorporate the parts too.

First, I used the two rear support bars that hold the chest in place and attached them to the tabs on the dashboard piece. Then, I took the roof+windshield piece that was now detached from the toy, rotated the windshield and flipped the exhaust pipes, and hung it between the tow rear support bars(the loose piece is exhaust side up) .

It fits rather snugly, and is held in place by the human seat for the gun, and the doors, which i closed up around the loose part. It now looks like a rear skirt.

As for the hood piece, It's easy to use as a shield. Rotate the front bumper halfway, and slip an arm blade through one of the gaps. Use Sideswipe's hand to hold the rotated bumper, and voila! a shield.

Has anybody found any correct size weapons/guns for Epps? It would be nice to display him holding atleast a gun. Maybe lego guns? Can anybody post a pic if you have both?

So, are there any good tips for reducing the backpack kibble?

He's been growing on me for the past few days. I learned a few tricks to get him to do a few nice poses, but I still hate the backpack, and I would prefer it if the blades were made of stronger plastic and wouldn't bend. Anybody know any secrets to make those blades stiffer?
