'Bot mode colors... not so much. Nothing an afternoon with paint couldn't help! www.fluffypotato.com |

Collection Count: 260, counting Minicons and Bootlegs. | I haven't bought a repaint in a while, but this one just looks so great. I'm digging the "Knight Rider from Hell' colors on the alt mode, and I love my Sideways so it's an easy persuasion. Not too keen on the head though. The bits on the side of his glasses look like extra eyes, and from a certain angle give him a creepy robo "Admiral Ackbar" kinda vibe. I can live with creepy robo-Ackbar though.
Thanks for the review! It's great to see him side by side with Sideways. |

I honestly prefer Sideways in every way.

Join Date: May 2003 Posts: 665 Location: I am elsewhere Collection Count: 300 plus | I notice in a lot of photos of Sideways and Dead End that people have not noticed that you can push the little triangles on the back of his chest/shoulders up from the underside this then allows the "wings" to sit closer to his centerline for the back of his car to butt up to the front of the car giving a more unified look and indeed for him to have his back pack pegged in place... in the two little groove slots provided.
If you swivel his light clusters a bit you can also get them touching his neck ruff and the raise triangle pieces and it makes for a more CGI look to him.
If you look at CGI images of Sideways you can see the little triangle on his shoulder on the model.
Also his "wings" sit nicely up agains the tabs on the triangle on his shoulders too - so just raising those little pieces allows the whole toy to just fit together and 'jell' all the better.
It even brings more of his weight in towards the centerline and make him stand better too. |
