If I could get ahold of a Sideways head to replace it with, I would get this guy, but as-is, the head just ruins it for me. This is one repaint I wish they would have kept the original head for. He looked great in all the previews online, but he is even better in person. I love the color scheme in both modes. I wish there were a few more silver paint apps in both modes, but not a big deal.
In some stores in my area, the Sideways toy has been among the shelfwarmers nestled between Rampage and Wheelie. It's too bad, because I consider him on par with Sidewipe with regard to innovative transformations and overall terrific design. If any of you are on the fence regarding whether to get one of these molds but haven't yet, know that either way you're getting a totally GREAT Transformer. |
