Not a comment about the quality, but since it now sits in a cabinet with some other TF's, I've noticed how perfectly in scale he is with MP Grimlock. It's a shame Shocky isn't more posable otherwise it'd make for some awesome poses.

Just picked one up and I'm rather impressed!

The plastic is of good quality.

The right toe is loose and will not lock in place, but is OK when it is displayed in robot mode.

In comparison with the original... It's a very, very close remake.

If you could afford one and would not mind buying a KO, then do it!

I did and I don't regret it.

I have always wanted a MINT G1 Shockwave and this was the cheapest way of getting one.

I'd only get one to have a minty MIB one for display, after reading all the quality issues. Pretty glad I got a vintage authentic one last year before these were made.

Box differences:
- The boxart on the KO is more pink/reddish purple than the vintage one. The vintage one is more blueish purple.
- The grey border between the window and the boxart is thicker than the vintage one.
- The KO box states "includes snap on weapons and accesoires". That's not on the real one, although I've seen a vintage box that also had it.

Another box art difference I happened to notice that I am not sure you mentioned. On the back behind Starscream in the lower right. In the KO on the left it looks like Skywarp finishes transforming just above the UPC symbol, while in the original Skywarp finshes transforming behind the UPC symbol.
