ROTF Deluxe Ravage Pictorial Review

He's here, RAVAGE!

You can see him there with his handler

Ravage is interesting, in that he doesn't really have an alt mode, just his "reentry mode."

That's the official version, but I prefer folding the guns down and back. They look more like a propulsion system that way (also, kind of makes him look like a submersible):

Here's a comparison to his previous "re-entry mode" that came with Soundwave as a missile:

Transformation is fairly simple, since he's pretty much just a folded up cat. Slide the wings into the torso and the rest is just arranging the limbs. You now have a pretty neat looking robot kitty!

The lever on his back makes his head extend, his jaws open, and his ears flip back:

The guns are on hinges, so they can point upward or downward to some degree:

Also, he has a bonus CHOCOBO MODE!!!

How can you not love that?!

Overall, a fun figure. A weak alt mode, but since it gives us a pretty nice cat mode, and I don't think he transforms in the movie, it all evens out. Pick him up when you can.

Video review is uploaded, and will be available as soon as it finishes processing:

RAVAGE, ATTACK!

*This pose is entirely unsupported by anything but the figure itself. Nice.

Sweet.

Is the head able to look up or down at all, or does the jaw action feature lock it in place?

Love that cat mode, especially the angry-head action feature.

Gonna paint him all up, though. The front teeth look kinda weird, though.

Sweet thing. Maybe the movie design is a bit too spikey for my taste, but still an awesome toy.

Looks pretty good when directly looking at it (as in your last pic), otherwise, definitely not a fan of mr. skeletal kitty. I actually think the alt/reentry mode is pretty good. It's the bot mode i don't dig. oh well.

Yeah, the more I play with it the more I'm digging the reentry mode myself.

Thanks for the review, decent looking figure. Im just glad they didn't give him a goofy looking robot mode like they did to Scorps in the first line.
