ROTF Mixmaster Pictorial review.

It's that time! Picture review of Mixmaster!!

Mixmaster is a voyager class mixing truck, and apparently forms the head of Devastator in combined mode:

Not much to say about this mold. It looks good, and rolls, but has no other features or functionality. Here's A couple of comparison shots with Classics Starscream and the other Constructicons:

Transformation is amazingly complex, without being too hard. It would be easy to have something fudge up in the process, but somehow it's always fun and all the joints remain functional and stable. Before we get to robot mode, he does have kind of a halfassed artillery mode as well:

Robot mode is pretty cool. I've flipped a few bits to look more like he does in the new trailer. Raised the shoulderpads and flipped the forearm guards around so his hands are more visible/posable.

He's actually quite stable and a lot more posable than the kibble might lead you to believe. All of the arm panels and the wheels are on some pretty robust ball and hinge joints, so it moves out of the way quite easily when posing. Definitely an impressive figure. If you only add one Constructicon to your ROTF collection, he's by far the best of the ones we've seen so far.

Here's a quick size comparion of the three current Constructicons with Deluxe Bumblebee.

Overall, a great figure. I'd definitely recommend him. Of the three we've seen, I'd rate Mixmaster the best, with Rampage just behind him, and Demolishor trailing by a bit.

Yeah, they're on ball joints, they can point pretty much any way you want.

Great review and pics. Very nice truck mode, superb paint job, but I think the bot mode is too ugly. if I buy one it will stay in truck mode.

I'm really liking Mixmaster. The vehicle mode looks nice and detailed like the other figures in the line. I wish it was bigger, but whatever, it's cool anyway. The artillery mode looks like another one of those thrown-in-at-the-last-minute sort of things that Hasbro calls a "third mode". It's kinda cool, but they don't need to be calling him a triple changer. The robot looks great w/ its "I look like Bonecrusher, but I'm really Mixmaster" appeal. I wish Hasbro could have done something w/ the front of the truck, but hey, it makes for a great chair. Another thing I'm not too fond of is the color choice. Hasbro looks like it was going for a cold as steel aproach, but then they added the beige for the head and crimson-ish for the knee guards. Overall, definite buy for me.

Thanks for the pictorial review, Peaugh. Great job! This guy isn't too bad. I kind of like the color choices, except for the beige. I really like the colors of his alt mode.

Why does this guy remind me of Halo's Flood? Oh well.

Best Contructicon so far. Blows Demolisher away, and also wins over Rampage.

Rest in peace, Pickles. We'll never forget.

I shall have Mixmaster, he's clearly the best Constructicon yet, although probably because he's actually humanoid
