Is wave 6 out already? I need that Universe Ratchet as Animated Ratchet doesn't serve as filler.

wave 6 is kind of out.

I got Ratchet and Hot Shot at toywiz.com. Hot Shot's $20, Ratchet's $15. I didnt mind paying extra to avoid hunting for them later.

Has a lot of the same problems Ironhide had but still a great figure overall.

Just got my Universe Ratchet from BBTS, and the quality is TERRIBLE.

The blade/gun mechanism just flops around and will not stay put in either configuration. It seems there's been shrinkage to the mold.

The waist joint is obstructed by the wheel panels in robot mode, so the figure pops in half whenever I turn the waist.

Some of the worst QC I've ever seen.

Man, I want Henkei Ratchet BADLY, but I have no idea where I'm going to get him.

Quick question: how easy would it be to remove the red bumper/ram/thing at the front. Just to differ him from IH a bit more?

The brushguard? It's just held on by a screw that's really easy to get to. And taking it off doesn't hurt the alt-mode at all unlike removing Hound's.

Cool, I don't suppose anyone's done it themselves and could take a few pics showing it off?

You can easily unpeg the front piece to remove the brushguard

Then you have a slightly different vehicule mode :p

And while I'm at it, some robot mode, volontarily mis-transformers because he's way too short with the correct transformation

    Height compared to Sunstreaker

    And some Henkei Autobot :)

Totally, the last several henkei character versions have been dominating their Hasbro counterparts. I'm certainly adding Ratchet to that list.

Got my Henkei Ratchet in the mail yesterday, and was surprised to find he has unpainted wheels.

The solicitation images definitely showed painted wheels, and Peaugh's Ratchet has them. Pics from others later in the thread, however, don't.

So is your Ratchet a dealer sample or something, Peaugh?

I think Peaugh painted the rims himself.

    Thanks for the tip.
I just did this mod on my Henkei Ratchet. Very painless.
Looks much better as a result. :thumb

Just got the Universe verion yesterday. I may take off the brushguard so it looks that much different from Ironhide. Thanks for the idea!

I have Henkei Ratchet, the hood always scares me since it's made of thin plastic.

Opened up Henkei Ratchet today and I must say he's pretty awesome! Universe Ironhide scared me off this mold as it was pretty bad but I'm really digging this toy which proves again what good paint apps and detail will do to a figure. My only complaint is his head seems to tucked in as the hood wont bend far enough down, is this an inherant mold issue or am I just doing something wrong? Other that that the Henkei version is aces in my book, might go back and pick up Henkei Ironhide now :)
