Biplane Mode
This thing is really wide, thanks to the wingspan. There's also some neat sculpting that implies that the wings are a little patchwork.
It's really quite impressive. I love the airbrush-styled wing decos. There's even a cockpit! The weaponry is also neat. One side gets twin autocannons, and the other gets a really cute pair of tiny bombs.
There are a couple shortcomings- namely the lack of a tiny wheel on the tail of the plane, and the admittedly well-camoflaged arms under the lower wings.
Transformation
This is fairly simple, though the way the top wings transform is really cool. Aside from collapsing down using parts from the bottom wings, they also unclip from a frame that the rest of the lower wings then clips into. Also, the tailfin splits into the feet, which each transform in completely different ways.
Robot Mode
Check out his engine hat! It looks like it either has a miner lamp or a tiny trumpet on top.
Though he looks very junkpile, he's got very clearly defined physicality. And actually some very cool proportions.
Posability's decent. Balljointed hips and shoulders, a waist swivel, elbows and knees, and his ankles can swing forward and backward. ONE of them can also tilt sideways, but it's due to the transformation.
And he can flyyyyyyyyyyyyyy~!
Overall Thoughts
This guy's got a great and sizable alt mode, and if you can dig his demented aesthetics then I think you'll enjoy the toy. He's got a lot of character and really looks movieverse in that he...well, looks like a biplane that bent itself into the shape of a robot.
The Movieverse DeceptiScouts are in town. D:
