The other part of GenZhao's package: Animated Sunstorm:
Now, before we get started, I have to say I was worried at first, since the first few times I transformed him his arms, legs and head kept popping off all over the place. I wanted to chuck him in the trash as a piece of poor QC'd garbage. But he was incredibly cold from sitting in a delivery van all night, and once he warmed up to room temperature, I've had no problems with him, aside from the usual random automorph jamming associated with this mold. ANYWAY, that aside:
He's the creamcicle version of the original, done up in the orange and white with reddish-orange highlights. I'm a sucker for orange, so of course I loves him! Definitely distinguishable from the original:
Transformation is the same as Starscream's, and he's got the same face, so robot mode is just another colorshifted SS, per the usual:
And of course, he retains the shark missiles:
Overall, I like him quite a bit. Now if only we'd get a Thundercracker from the voyager mold I'll be happy (and pick up a Skywarp! Hear that, Hasbro?!). His bio on the box from recent pics seems to be more of the Dreamwave version of the character, but we all know he's just a big old brown noser.
And let me tell you, taking that picture showed me just how great Starscream's molded smirk really is:
And of course, the SUPER MACRO! headshot:
Anyway, video review is available, as always, now also viewable in HD!
