Purple Animated Shockwave Review/ Pic Comparison

Hello! Here is the pictorial review of Target Exclusive Animated Voyager Purple Shockwave!

But I do have some thoughts on this repaint. Surprisingly, the purple kind of works, though like many others, a yellow eye would have made all the difference. I am torn between the two colors.

Now if you want you can have the purple Shockwave and leave the grey one as Longarm for those who want both and one more G1 accurate.

Purple Longarm? Yikes no thank you. Be interesting to see the back of the box on this one to see if it is marketed again as Longarm as well.

Nice that they changed the faction colors to purple and red, though the red is more metallic and looks almost pinkish in away.

Also they removed the CON symbol from the crane/turret which is also seen in the stock photos under the resource section which is kind of nice as well.

I'm guessing you didn't find it at Target?

The purple looks so much better to make the figure recognizable as Shockwave. Personally, I don't give a damn about Longarm, so when I finally find this in the store it'll never be transformed into that mode. Until there's a Universe figure, this one will be my Shockwave (too bad no cannon arm, but at least he's purple).

Thanks for the thorough photo comparisons. I'm only getting this version if he looks good with his eye painted yellow, which will inevitably pop up on here sometime.

*sigh* and yet this version isn't out yet. how'd you get it? I'm gonna replace the transparent red eye w/ i light-up yellow eye

I think I'm gonna get this to display as Shockwave, and keep the initial release in Longarm Prime mode.

I'm definitely going to wait and get the purple Shockwave. Not sure what I'll do with the extra Activator Bumblebee, as I already have one. Might just give it to my cousin, or a friend of mine.

Yeah the Purple rocks! Much better looking. That dull blueish Grey don't work for me.
