I've been waiting for a wide release of Trailbreaker for some time. Today that wait is finally over. My Encore Trailbreaker arrived from hobbylink japan and I am not disappointed.

Overall the figure seems pretty solid with nice minty stiff joints. The main section of the instruction sheet shows Hoist and then it has a side section for some of the specifics of Trailbreaker. The sticker sheet has the couple extra stickers for Hoist as well, so I assume both figures come with the same instruction/sticker sheet. I passed on Hoist as I already of the TRU reissue of him.

As with some of the other figures the springs for the launchers are pretty touchy. I have accidently fired them twice, but luckily I didn't shoot my eye out. :)

I am very happy with this figure and recommend him for any fan of G1 reissues.

Now on to some pics I snapped.

Aww, he looks so good...I may have to break my 'no Encore' rule for this. Thanks for the great pics.

I like trailbreaker... I may not be built for speed... but I'm tough! Plus he has a force field power back in the G1 series. I'm so getting this. Thanks for the picture and Happy New Year to all TFW2005.com members! The best TF site for 2008!

Congrats! I got both Trailbreaker and Hoist but I haven't opened them up and I'm pleased that there's no serious QC problems with Trailbreaker! :)

I'm unimpressed with my Trailbreaker. When you compare it to the original it just doesn't stack up. The original is much 'shinier,' the reissue's black is duller. The arm mechanism has been remolded so his arms now pop off easier.

    Your mileage may vary.

I have a pretty minty original, but I'm missing the missiles and the antennae. Amazingly it wold be cheaper to buy the encore release than get the original bits from Ebay, so I'll wait until I see him warming a shelf and then grab him...

been considering getting this guy, though i do have one problem. i got the 25th Anniversary Prime, and SURPRISE his hands and gun dont store on the main truck, but in his trailer (im 17, didnt know it would be like that).

my question is, do all of his accessories, like his hands and the chrome bits, store in truck mode, or do i need to set some stuff aside? hiding the parts in the back of the truck count as stored.

If I remember correctly, one has put some of the parts away - just like the G1seekers. I know, shame on me for not remembering...Takara didn't have the "perfect" tranformer in most of their G1 toys! LOL!

Received mine from HLJ yesterday and I'm very happy with it. Great truck mode, bot parts well concealed, fun to transform. The chromed pieces fits in perfectly and improves the looks on both modes. Typical articulation but not bad for a mold made in the early 80s.
