When you compare it to the original it just doesn't stack up. The original is much 'shinier,' the reissue's black is duller. The arm mechanism has been remolded so his arms now pop off easier.
Your mileage may vary. |

Amazingly it wold be cheaper to buy the encore release than get the original bits from Ebay, so I'll wait until I see him warming a shelf and then grab him... |

News Credits: 2 | been considering getting this guy, though i do have one problem. i got the 25th Anniversary Prime, and SURPRISE his hands and gun dont store on the main truck, but in his trailer (im 17, didnt know it would be like that).
my question is, do all of his accessories, like his hands and the chrome bits, store in truck mode, or do i need to set some stuff aside? hiding the parts in the back of the truck count as stored. The terms of a truce begin! Or do they... 2/12/10 |

I know, shame on me for not remembering...Takara didn't have the "perfect" tranformer in most of their G1 toys! LOL! |

The chromed pieces fits in perfectly and improves the looks on both modes. Typical articulation but not bad for a mold made in the early 80s. |
