Motorcycle Mode
It's a motorcycle.
...
Not really much to say. It looks like a motorcycle, the front wheel can turn for steering, and the uh...wheels roll? All the robot mode stuff folds away pretty well.
Unfortunately, it's juuuust too small for a 3.75-inch scale figure to ride convincingly.
Transformation
It's a bit of a "typical" motorcycle transformation, with lots of stuff splitting and folding forward. But, some neat touches include the way the front cowling of the cycle splits and folds down across his flanks, and the way you have to swing his pelvis forward to connect to the waist.
Bit of a problem on mine is that the clip for the aforementioned pelvic union is far too small compared to the slot, so it doesn't actually hold together at all. Thickening the clip would fix this, and hopefully it won't be an issue with the actual release.
Robot Mode
Motorcycle Transformers have really come a long way. Though this little guy might look like a step back at first glance, his only real downfall is that the wheels don't wholly integrate with his body. But...
The one that splits and folds over the shoulders is on balljoints! This means you can do awesome stuff like give him ninja helicopter powers. That plus his double-barrelled cannon hand give him a lot of playingwithtoys potential.
He's got a really well-defined shape beneath all the motorcycle armour, which I really appreciate. Also, those two plates on his legs can peg on and off quite easily. I haven't actually found any kind of weapon mode or alternate peg-on point yet, though.
Overall Thoughts
This guy is moderate-to-excellent for a scout sized motorcycle Transformer. His engineering is kind of like an overall upgrade to Energon Arcee, dealing with nearly every big problem I had with her design. If the clip between his waist and pelvis is fixed by the time he comes out, I would say he's well worth your money if you can dig the cycle-tires-on-the-shoulders look.
