RotF/Universe/Classics 2.0 Superion

Doesn't look like anyone has made a thread for this set yet, so I thought I'd share some pictures and thoughts. Overall I've been really pleased with both Superion and Bruticus. Slingshot has been renamed Airazor in the set, but the other four Aerialbots retain their original names.

Silverbolt's alt-mode is vaguely similar to that of the Ultra-class version. The robot mode doesn't resemble the cartoon character very much (head isn't square, missing wings on the shoulders most notable) but I guess that's to be expected with a repaint.

As has been mentioned elsewhere many Silverbolts have their knees assembled backwards. In the store I got my set from every set had them backwards. It's fairly easy to fix, but if you can I'd try and find a set with the knees the right way round to begin with.

Air Raid (dark grey) and Airazor (white) share the same mold. Transformation is simple, but both the plane and robot modes look quite nice. There's a little bit of robot mode kibble as the arms are pretty well just stuck on the bottom of the plane, but it could be a lot worse.

Fireflight (brown) and Skydive (grey/red) are very nice. For their size they have surprisingly little robot mode kibble in plane mode. I quite like the way the head becomes the turret on the underside of the plane.

The names seem backwards to me. I'd've thought a mostly red alt-mode would better suit "Fireflight" but the packaging pretty clearly shows him to be the brown plane.

And here is Superion. You can arrange the arms and legs however you like. I find the Air Raid/Airazor mold to be a little wide and prefer to put both Fireflight and Skydive on the legs, but the arrangement is really up to you.

Finally a picture with Optimus Prime and Ultra-class Silverbolt to get an idea of scale.

Personally I prefer Bruticus to Superion, but I still think Superion is a good figure.

Nice review, but a miss for me.
I only like Fireflight and Skydive.
Even then, why is Fireflight brown?

Is it just me, or is Air raid a energon Starscream tribute more than an Air raid tribute?

*snip*
glad to see some liked the pictures I posted only wish those were actually mine

and yes the one jet is a homage to Energon Starscream

and im so glad somebody finally made a thread for him ive been waiting for some good detailed pics of em all though jrx did some but more are always good
ill definitely get him and Bruticus and hopefully they reissue Devastator cause I was stupid and didnt get him when he was on clearence

but I think the worst things about that set is that they didnt modify Silverbolt to fix that chest peg from the looks of it, theres a pink plane..... , and they nubbed the plane noses of Air Raid & Airazor
Just Who The Hell Do You Think We Are!?

How's the waist connector on Superion? Is it still the same tiny loose peg?

Yeah, Skydive is pink. It's more of a salmon pink than a bright pink. I'd certainly have prefered the pink to be grey, but I don't think it was too intrusive.

It is tiny, but it seems to fit pretty tightly on mine.
