Easy pass this is plastic crap. To me this is even worse than the G1 combiners. I only say that because they could have at least given it two different limb which I know is a lot harder to tool and make but it would have grabbed a lot more people into buying it. But it's just a simple repaint which I refuse to buy unless it's the seekers or prowl.

I would have liked to have seen five different molds instead of four of the same and one different. Its kinda boring. I don't know now about this one.

    That's pretty close-minded isn't it?
"Unless they repainted it in G1, they're not allowed to repaint it!"

5 unique molds wouldn't have gotten any more kids buying it. So it wouldn't be cost-effective.

    Damn. When's the Australian release?

Sorry, I'm not feeling this one. Onslaught looks okay but his last Universe was better. Poor Bruticus, what on Cybertron have they given you for hands?

The Energon gestalts were fine for Energon, I just think it's lame to pass them off as G1 with G1-ish color schemes. Devastator for example, was/is 6 Decepticons and now because of a repaint I'm supposed to buy a 5-member Devvy? Or now buy a Bruticus in which 3 of the 5 Combaticons aren't they're G1 alt? Uh-uh.

I'm glad these all have just been exclusives, but unfortunately because of it, I don't expect Hasbro to be making Classics gestalts with the new molds that they should be using.

Nooo that not what I meant.:lol  I meant that some of the G1 combiners had more ingenuity put into them than this one. With the tech and engineering Hasbro had there is no reason for this to be. Besides for those who missed it the first time.

But with the cost of making new molds as opposed to making repainted reissues would have been more costly as we both stated.

As for what I meant people buying I mostly meant collectors, and in some cases maybe parents. I believe some parents may look at this and say" I'm paying this much for the two of the same figure and a just one different one, I don't think so." My parents did when I was younger.

I'm preferring the colours on this one to the original, they're nice an subdued. Also, the individual molds are all fantastic anyway, especially Onslaught, so that's my reason for buying it.

And I disagree with you on the G1 combiners having more ingenuity put into them, but each to their own.

BTW, this was what I was referring to when I was talking about the repaints.

By ingenuity I mean having five different molds that combine. With this one I feel I'm get a cop out. But to those that like this more power to ya and glad it's not my money wasted.

because they don't want to spend any money or time on doing remolds.

and besides, the pieces they do have work as hands, feet, vehicle weaponry and handheld weaponry for the individual robot.

What would have been cool is if they did a Targetmasters/Headmasters thing with the hands, feet, and head- having them all transform from the weapons of the individual bots. But then it also would have been cool to just make new molds for these guys...

You know, I've been wondering this since I started thinking about it...

Onslaught has an energon star mount right where Bruticus' chest is. I wonder how feasible it would be to give him a chestplate of some sort?

After all, I've got some extra KO Devastator parts at home including the chestplate...

Oh, and thanks for the extra pics! Amazing how much better the head looks with the antennae folded in.

This is a complete fail, fail, fail!!

Hasbro really sucks sometimes. It’s so thoughtless to just use a shitty combiner from another series and put G1 names on it.
They should take as much time to at least design the toy as they did the damn box.
Britucus looks like complete shit. They should of at least made swindle a car.

It’s a joke. I rather they just reissue the combaticons again with a 25th logo on it..call it a day.

I will not buy this garbage.

Well I like the combiner. So I'm happy Hasbro did this.
Plus, do you want to pay ridiculous amounts of money for a new mold? The toys themselves are solid; good articulation, good alt. modes. Yes they repeat the molds, but to save money. And in this day and age, them saving money and us saving money by not having to buy an expensive new mold is only a good thing.
