It's out on retail here costing a little above USD50. |

First off, I think the Universe packaging for Bruticus is better than the RotF packaging that he'll be getting. I like the larger box art instead of just a CGI head pic, and Bruticus was intended to be a G1 homage/Universe release, so the box is more appropriate, too.
Anyways, the toy itself is pretty cool. This is the first combiner I've gotten since I got Tripredacus for Christmas back when it was released, and I'm pleased with this particular set. I do think it's slightly "lazy" to have two pairs of the same mold, but it works. The colors are great, fit the characters well. I also like some of the smaller details, like the "1MJ9" on Brawl, that read upside-down looks like "BRWL," and the $ on Swindle. Bruticus also has a pretty cool headsculpt, and I like the light-piping. The hands and feet are kind of weird, especially since they're asymmetrical in the "official" transformation. Poseability is good compared to, say, my G2 Devastator, so that's a plus. And the individual robots are neat, especially Vortex and Swindle.
Overall, this is a pretty cool set and I'm very pleased with it. As someone who keeps some TFs MISB as well, I think the Universe packaging looks better than the RotF packaging, so any MISB collectors might want to go for this one.
One of my favorite recent purchases, 4/5 Black Prime...Black Soundwave...Black Incinerator...Black Taco

Mentally - Still In Disney World Collection Count: 150 plus some sweet ROTF RPM's | I love this guy. For newer collectors like myself that weren't around during the Energon series, I tell you he is a very cool addition to a collection. His joints hold together very well, and he is very well ballanced. Colors are also very awesome. 30 bucks may be a lot to some and I can't blame you but he is as tall or taller than all of my leader class figs. The muted colors work pretty well, and the joints are surprisingly tight. How the Animated toy line REALLY came to an end
