Vortex/Swindle Alt. Mode
Solid little helicopters. Arm kibble detracts from overall aesthetic. Both have tiny sculpted Decepticon logos to the left of their cockpits. Spinning blades on top as well as spinning tale blades. You can attach energon weapons to the bottom, those this does not look good, so I don't recommend it.
Both have painted details denoting their character; Vortex has a V-1 to the right of his cockpit and Swindle has dollar signs painted on either side of his cockpit. Another nice detail is the sculpted chairs inside the cockpit.
Bot Mode
After a fairly simple transformations you are left with two well articulated robots, with ball jointed hips, knees, shoulders and elbows, as well as rotating heads and waists providing a good range of motion. The joints are all tight enough to carry their weapons and support numerous poses.
The colour scheme remains unchanged, with Vortex being dark blue and grey, and Swindle being two shades of tan. This is very faithful to their
G1 colour schemes, without the lurid pink and purple.
The heads are also incredible detailed. Which is nice.
Quality Control
QC is remarkably good, with the only complaint being some streaking on Swindle's leg, and that is barely noticeable.
Conclusion Alt. Modes: 7/10. Decent enough helicopters, with nice details, but arms detract a few points.
Robot Modes: 9/10. Very articulated, well detailed and no stabiltiy issues.
Total: 8/10. Buy them. Buy them now.
The rest of the Combaticons will come later...
