On topic: hope this hits the UK. Looks like a good repaint, and I only managed to pick up Barricade from the original release. Got Classics Devastator recently and like him, so looking forward to Bruticus. | everything helpful was lost after he told me to stop bitching. But I still didn't insult anyone.
Anyway it's frienly board banter. Not like were hurting anyone. Click Here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ht_4892wt_1167 |

Anyway it's frienly board banter. Not like were hurting anyone. | A)You choose a scapegoat to render his point null in your mind. Saying he was bitching does not, in any way invalidate his argument. You just realised you were losing and refused to accept it.
B)You ARE insulting people by insisting that Hasbro is 'a piece of crap' for not doing exactly what you want. You insult those who tried to calmly tell you why your demands were unfeasible by ignoring them, and insisting that you and you alone were right.
So, to sum up why your demands are unfeasible: 1.Development Costs
It would be financially inadvisable for Hasbro to pour money into a new design and mold in the current economic situation, as well as the fact they're already developing one for next year. 2.Marketing
Most mothers wouldn't buy an Ultra and 4 Deluxes for their child. It would cost $270AU and $65 US. This is an absurd amount of money to pay for a toy without any electronics. 3.Mold Degradation
If they re-released the Bruticus mold one more time, it would fall apart in your hands. Plus, despite your claims, IT ISN'T MORE POSABLE THAN THE ENERGON MOLD, SO STOP CRYING ABOUT THE ENERGON'S ARTICULATION WHEN YOUR PRECIOUS G1 MOLD WAS A BRICK!!!!! 4.Hasbro Doesn't Work For You
You are not on the board of directors, you are not on their development team, you are not their focus audience. Hasbro owes you nothing. Not even a claim of 'I is a fan, i kept transformers @live 4 25 years' can be used as a defence because you stated that you only collected G1 and Classics.
So stop acting like Hasbro is under your payroll, because they have done their best to make the fans happy with Classics and Universe 2.0, as well as every other line they've released. Abandon your pathetic sense of entitlement and be grateful that Hasbro has given you anything, because, remember, they never had to release any of this, but they did, so don't repay their kindness with scorn. |

If any of these gestalts were in fact new molds and mass-released rather than being a store-exclusive repaint, the money from development and such would certainly come back to them.
Why?
Because half of us wouldn't be going on about how it does or doesn't suck. A G1 accurate gestalt would have nearly all of us clamoring it up with the "do want"s and such. Sure you might get a few people who honestly don't care for it, or some who state that Ptitvite's and FrenzyRumble's are better (followed by "still a buy though"), but we would not be so divided on it.
And I'm going to throw this out there- the Universe line isn't for the little kids anyway. The marketing aimed at them is for the movie and show figures, that's what they want. Universe is for us, the fans. Always has been. Why else would they have been selling repaints with G1 names from the beginning of the line? |

Wouldn't you agree that Hasbro could have saved money by actually releasing a proper working Onslaught that having to go back and fix him and then releasing him again?
My point is that certain people are saying it would cost Hasbro too much money to make new molds of the combiners and that the development team are experts at this and know what the fans want but yet they couldn't get a new mold of Onslaught right?
This is just a perfect example of a "Let them eat cake" attitude from Hasbro and not really caring what the fans get. |

No matter what you, him, they all say its a horriable design IMO.
That was the only point I was trying to make.. Quote:

Nod to the adult fans that doesn't affect the ability to sell to their target audience: children. I realise you'd like to think that you're buying "adult collectables," but you are in fact buying children's toys. Hasbro are selling to children primarily, unless you can bring something to the discussion to prove your notion that Universe isn't being bought by children. If that were the case, the line probably wouldn't exist.
aprim: wtf? Anyone explaining why you're wrong works for Hasbro must be a Hasbro employee? Jesus, I often joke that people think Hasbro make decisions purely to piss them off, I didn't realise there was anyone paranoid enough to actually believe it.
slangman: I prefer this one. The Energon colour scheme on Blight and Stormcloud didn't really work for me. I think my only complaint here is that they didn't do the energon hand/feet pieces in solid black plastic.
The perfect haiku would have just two syllables: Airwolf.
