They're much better than I expected, I say my favorite of the two is Jetstorm. I'll be picking these up once they hit retail.

Wow. Shockwave's just taking the punch like it was nothing. At least have him reeling.

But yeah. I'd love to see Safeguard in more dynamic poses. I mean, take Jetstorm/Jetfire - the poses they're in ooze personality.

The individual jet modes look better here than in any previous images; having the wings fully deployed certainly helps. Is there any way to makes the arms as compact as possible in Safeguard mode, so that they're not just sticking out?

Yeah, you can fold them up pretty much however you want. Here's another favorite of mine with them folded down:
