Btw Peaugh, this is the Proper transformation of the back, you had it extremely close though.

I feel the shoulders look much better the way I positioned them.

Ah. Looks like they're still pegged in to those pegs on the panels, just the arms are rotated to different positions at the swivel on the bicep. Looks good. One of the things I like about these guys is that "right" seems to be based more on personal preference than anything else, and even when you put all the pieces where they're "supposed" to go, there's still some leeway for personal customization. They really are a great little pair of figures.

I can't wait to get this, my only gripe is the head cant move in Safeguard mode, but still it looks nice!

I agree about the head, I feel they could have given each half a swival joint so at least you could move each half up or down in combined mode.

but hey maybe these new move toys will have some new tech like that

Alright, I guess now I'm used to how generic they are separate and how goofy they look combined. The main thing that still bothers me is the name "Safeguard". Jetfire + Jetstorm = Safeguard? Really? Not Firestorm? Not something with "Jet" in it?

Yeah, a bit silly. The comic explains this by calling the project of upgrading the twins 'Project Safeguard'. I bet Hasbro just called the combine bot Safeguard but it won't actually be called by that name ever in comics or cartoon..

why not just call them Irish Spring or Dove or maybe even Jergans lol

But yeah Safeguard is a lame name. I'm betting in the cartoon the combined mode won't actually even have a name. the comic didn't.

But anyway, I'm still happy with my purchase

Holy crap Safeguard looks...good. I'm still turned off by the split-head thing (But he does look better than most of the Energon Autobot combos, that's for sure), but I'll probably get the set for the individual bots. They may simply be re-tools of each other, but Jetstorm looks awesome (especialy in those above pics), and Jetfire does indeed have an abundance of personality (he reminds me of Hellboy minus the rock arm and tail). Is the comic included a mini-comic or a normal sized comic? If it's the latter I can toss it into my TF comic collection.
