OK so my Inferno landed from Heero today, so I thought I'd give it a quick review

Pics will follow later as I gotta go out in a few mins!
Alt mode:
Pretty damn good. Looks like... well, a fire engine! Not quite the design that we have over here in the UK, but easily recognisable. Quite a lof of sculpted detail on the panelling, generally very pleasing! I'd say this is an almost perfect update for Inferno. Only downside is looking from the top you can see his arms very clearly.
Transformation:
Not overly complicated but I'd say about right for the mold. Panels flip to the side, side of the cabs flip up, arms come out, cab sides flip down to cover the arms, front wheels are flipped in, legs are flipped down and then turned around. Head pops out automatically when the arms come out as it's on a spring. As I say, not the most complicated but quite satisfying.
Bot mode:
I know a lot of people have complained about him being a box, but to me this is the epitome of what Classics should be - an update of
G1. Articulation and posability is good, as are the aesthetics of the actual bot itself. And actually, when you look at him, he's a bit sqaure around the chest but not actually that boxy when you look at him as a whole - he's actually quite slimline considering the beer belly he has
But yes, I'm quite impressed with this guy. Comes recommended
EDIT: Pics!
