If I see the Henkei version at a con I might pick him up, but I'm not that crazy about the mould to be honest - the chest is just off somehow, and having his head on that black plastic doesn't make it look any better. I'm hoping the Bluestreak repaint will help that blend more.

That said, it's clear the Henkei version has crisper paint apps than the Hasbro version, so I may replace it at some point.

 

I have mine...there is one annoying feature on the figure and that is the chrome spoiler. Other than that, it is a very nice figure. The vibrant colors pop out more on the white than on the Universe version. Beyond that they almost look identical except for some other minor changes. I would not persuade anyone on which version of Prowl is better because everyone has their own tastes.

Acteon--if you can find eventually find the Universe version of Bluestreak, get it. The black hood and black "turtle neck" blend in very nicely with each other.

I got Henkei Prowl today. right shoulder canon doesn't like to rest down all the way like the one on his left.. The paint feels odd in some places.

Other than that he's alright, I kinda like the Sideswipe/Sunstreaker mold more.
The gun is nice and the face has an interesting expression

 

Ahhh the paint scratches off my Prowl, he has sticky paint issues too. WTF Takara?

 

Wow, it sounds you like got a really crappy piece, do you think you can have it returned for QC issues?

 

Henkei with a focus on comparison:

Pros:
* Chrome on weapons looks nice.
* White is SLIGHTLY more white (or bluish-white) than Classics
* Paint is slightly nicer than my Classics, with no sticky problems (on mine anyway)
* Red autobot symbol looks better than the orangey Classics one.

Cons:
* Chrome spoiler looks out of place to me.
* Japanese-style lightbar looks less interesting and stylish IMO.

Overall: The differences between Henkei and Classics are small enough to be missed on first glance, so it's all down to personal preference and priority again. Maybe you might have a better chance of non-sticky-smeary paint with Henkei, but that's apparently not a guarantee.
