    Back In Black!

What a great day. Another hobby shop has a Black Costume Spider-Man in stock! Here goes the review!

    Vehicle Mode

One problem with the original Spidey's bike mode is red and blue don't mix well. But fear not! The Black Costume Spider-Man is now black! (duh). Thanks to the black repaint, Spidey looks absolutely badass in bike mode. The front wind shield and the gas tank also has the white spider emblem of the black costume. Pretty neat. There's some minor difference, the front wheel has more details

Transformation is the same as the original version

    Mech Mode

Spidey now looks like a mix of his classic black costume version and the movie costume version. Spidey still keeps the webline, but has the white spider emblem on his chest and back, the comic look. Again, Spidey is still jet black. I hate to admit this, but I think too much black is used, there should be more grey color or other shade of black used. Spidey's web missiles is pure white, not black on it.

Overall, the black redeco does justice to this mold. Those who got turned off by the red and blue's bike mode will love this repaint as the bike mode now looks more realistic. Recommended. For those who already has the original version, recommended as well. The Black Costume version does have its flaws, but hey, it's the Black Costume!

P.S. The toy shop has the Takara version of the Crossovers in stock too. The price is scary, almost double of the normal version. I don't think there's any differences between the two though. Oh, and Black Spidey & Grey Hulk have the same bio as the original versions, shame

Since my budget isn't the greatest. The crossovers have a pretty low priority on my "to buy list".

Although if I happen to buy all of the other stuff I want then Black Spidey would be one of the first of these guys I'd get.

I, too, passed up the red and blue version for the black instead. Looking forward to getting him.

    Me too!

(OK, not "passed", since those toys haven't made their way here, but will pass and wait for the black one :p )

These pics confirm that Marvel TF Spidey looks indeed better in black.

It's nice - if I collected these things I'd certainly pick him up. I've not been that impressed with the Star Wars or Marvel crossovers, but Black Spidey is quite tempting.

That is really nice, if I get Spidey it'll most certainly be the black version.

is anyone at that "other" site still doing those "Gobot of the Month" section? cause I recommemd this WHOLE line...

Hasbro wants to use the "high cost of oil" for the price hike on their figures? There's a simple solution... STOP making these stupid crossover lines!!! Just look at how much plastic you'll save! You have no idea how many Star Wars Unleashed figures are clogging up the pathetic Wal-mart aisle down here!!

I always thought the blue/red bike didn't look that bad. But the black one is a must have also.

I mean heck, the upcoming Thor has far worse vehicle mode coloration.
