Picked him up today cause i like the mold and he's a CON. Pro's very nice alt mode good color scheme Con's bot mode is lacking in posability very short deluxe lots of kibble in bot mode PICS, ALT MODE BOT MODE CYBERKEY FUNCTION Has two pop out cannons when key is used Overall a decent fig but has some flaws that hurt it especially in bot mode
Thanks for the pics and the review dude. This guy was the exclusive I was most looking forward to... shame to hear he's not up to scratch. He's going into my Classics display anyway
I picked this guy up this past weekend and think he is awesome. Love the extra tools, especially the claw. Nice tight joints, great paint apps. A nice addition in my book.
I am not too crazy about this mold, I have the Cannonball deco one and it's all right. I was going to pick up Crankcase, but there is no cool paint apps on his wheels like Cannonball. So I'll pass, just because of the lack of "rims," and the see threw windows lol
Just FYI, the yellow shoulder paint apps are GOING to get scratched up. Those parts rub up against the inside of the alt mode, so you might as well write them off as gone...or do like I did, and just remove them entirely. I'd rather have no app than a crappy one. Other than the fact that mine ALSO came with a halfway unpainted face, I really like him... I liked the other two colors of this mold, so I like this one too... though I almost think that he should have had Breakaway's Bio, since he really does have a lot of bizarre joints and hidden tools, unlike the Excellion mold...
I was really looking forward to this figure because I think the alt mode looks like a dodge magnum! I didnt think id like the robot mode and that it would be too short and stocky but its just plain solid and cool. The transformation is also fairly complex for a deluxe figure and thats always win. Im definitely keeping this guy in my collection!
Movie WM exclusive Crankcase review I repaint of Cybertron Red Alert, Crankcase is one of the 3 WM exclusives along with Breakaway and Fracture. The vehicle mode is a nice shade of blue with a silver stripe. In the middle on both sides, there is a decepticon symbol along with a radioactive and I believe corrosive symbol along with the words Haz-Mat Operations (hazerdous materials) Inserting the key activates 2 flip out guns on the sides. Unfortunately, you can see a little bit of the head trying to be disquised as part of the siren lights. Unfortunately, this doesn't look good at all, but a minor complaint. Transformation: The transformation process is very cool. The legs form in an odd way, by connecting the front and lower back of the vehicle together. All 4 tires are stored in his legs. The robot mode is neat, with lots of paint, all nicely applied. Unfortunately, he isn't very big. He has good articulation. The way the legs form do hinder the posebility, but it still has the important joints. Crankcase also has 2 arm add-ons that attach to the lazer. The weapons, which are stored in his legs are a hammer, and a claw with a hing to allow it to grab onto things. Storage compartement: The gimmick key gimmick still works, giving him shoulder cannons. Overall, I would recommend him. He is a neat figure with lots of gimmicks and a fun transformation.
