I am still not persuaded even though it is cheaper at Target now (for this week...) Talking about color application; the SC is somewhat better than PG (US version). |

And those damn shoulder pegs are driving me nuts, if his shoulders locked in and stayed in when you moved his arms, id totally love it, but thats just driving me nuts. |

And the colors sold me on this version of the mold.
LOVE the alt mode, the black and purple just looks really good, an awesome looking jet. Very Decepticon.
Transformation is good, not overly complex, but not painfully simple either. Though the sounds from hitting his button on his back get a little annoying over time.
Bot mode looks pretty good, though the proportions are a little funky. Only real problems are some slightly loose or weird feeling joints (one of his shoulder joints is a LITTLE loose, and the ratchet joint on his upper arms don't seem to click, they hold fine though, and his legs don't lock completely stretched out).
In all though, I like him. NGW on Steam |

I am glad I bought him when he was first released here in AZ. Prime: "We're Reissues Megatron" Megatron: "Nonsense" Ironhide: "It's True, They're Remold & Repaint Us All The time" Megatron: "Slag" *sigh* "Kill Me Now"

Mentally - Still In Disney World Collection Count: 150 plus some sweet ROTF RPM's | I was pumped to finally break down and buy this guy. My only problem, is that he is a little "leg weak". They're somewhat small in proportion and i'm having a little stability issues with him standing. Nothing to bad. I just have to arch his back to stand him. I love his colors and alt mode. i don't know why but i love that yellow color. Glad i got him. newest additions...Kickback and the gang My Collection Thread here Check out my Flickr Transformers photostream here. |

Just some words on the differences here. First of all, where does the name Stormcloud come from? Well, the letters and numbers on Stormcloud's engines gives a clue: MM-89. Any idea? No? Well, it's pretty easy and unlike with previous Ultra-class Universe figures it has nothing to do with any fans. In this case it's simply that Stormcloud was a MicroMaster (MM) released in 1989. See? Real easy.
Personally I like the black painjob of Stormcloud pretty much and the yellow and purple highlights fit in pretty well. Not too sure about the yellow mouthguard for the face, but apart from that: Pretty cool. And unlike other reviewers whose opinions I've read, I like the Powerglide mold a lot, so no complaints on that front as well. That said, Stormcloud remains "just" a repaint and lacks the personality that the Powerglide character provided, so I need to lower the rating a bit. I might have bumped it up a bit if they'd left out the heart-gimmick (if you don't know what that is, believe me, you haven't missed anything important), but it's there as well. So bottom line: A good repaint of a very good figure. Rating: B
