Silverbolt would have made a better homage to stormcloud than powerglide. Still, I'm passing on this one anyways.

That's an interesting homage. I would have thought however, given the original Micromaster Stormcloud's alt mode as a sort of triangular jet type aircraft, that Silverbolt might have been a better repaint choice. Still, it's an impressively obscure character to resurrect, so kudos to whoever was doing the research.

I don't know if I'll buy him or not... I don't usually buy $25 figures at all, and having broken that rule and already bought Powerglide, I'm not sure a repaint tempts me. But we'll see.

yes i also think silverbolt would have been a better repaint.I really like the colors on the powerglide mold though. I already have powerglide and im a big fan of the mold i might just pick this up when it is released.Thanks tamo for the pics and review

 

Just to add to my previous comments, I wonder why Tailwind wasn't selected? Tailwind has an A-10 alt mode and is in the same Micromaster group. Maybe the color scheme just didn't seem as appealing?

Did some small touchups to him,
Painted the head black with a silver faceplate

Replaced the yellow/green with purple

Oh yeah,

also swapped the missile with powerglide to give him a all black gun and powerglide an all cream/white one.

 

i've received him today, and all i must say is HE IS FAR BETTER IN PERSON! lol!

also, i put the gun, on the bottom of the hand for this guy, *under* and flipped around, as a Gatling gun, and i have also, switched the black/gray missile as well, looks much better that way.

together with starscream, and ramjet, he looks great, almost like a skywarp substitute.

on another note it DOES look WAY better then powerglide. *though i still like powerglide* it just looks so evil lol as a con  

 

I passed on this mold as Powerglide, but I'll be adding this big guy to my Con collection.
