    LOC Megs

Picked him up along with Jazz. Molding is crisp, paint apps(while limited) are well done and poseability is much better than I expected. Megs in particular is well worth the sub $5 price tag he goes for.

I had originally written off the Legends line, but if these are a taste of what to expect for Universe, It's worth keeping an eye out for Beachcomber, Brawn, Cosmos and the like.

Hound is good, with the only thing I'm not liking are his arms, but at that scale what can you expect?:lol

Jazz is great, with my only qualm being that his side windows should've been painted as well.:rolleyes2

Megatron is a tiny god! He looks absolutely fantastic with great paint apps, he's the winner of this wave(for me at least):bay

So I'm really loving these guys, and hope after the Minibots that are on the horizon come out, more of the deluxe cars are made! Oh, and Hasbro, Decepticons please, as powerful as he is, Megs still needs a little back up ya know.;)

Now that I think of it, and this will probably make me sound crazy, but I think Legends G2 Megatron is actually my favorite Megatron toy out of all of them. Scale this sucker up, add a few more joints and details and he'd make a perfect Ultra.

    Oh hi August 21st

    They were $4.00

I don't understand stocking new stuff on the clearance aisle where it goes mostly unseen. The clearance aisles are always like hidden treasure, never in the same spot - around here anyway

Maybe they do it thinking people will mistake the prices as a bargain?

This. Please. If you do one thing for G2 in the 25th Ani. line, make it this.

    Or at least a voyager.

Normal retail price isn't $4 US. These are gonna be $9 each here in Canada, usually they are like $7 for legends class in the US.

I paid $4.44 each for mine. I think MSRP is $4.99.

They're definitely some of the best Legends out there.

Legends toys at my walmart are like 3.99 or 4.99 usd. Not $7. These three are def cool little guys. Easily the best legends to date.

Swing by a KBToys if they're still in your area. If not, ask Kickback about the Universe 2.0 Legends (Onslaught, Red Alert, Starscream). If he doesn't know, you'll have to take my word for it.

Picked up Legends Megatron today. WOW!!!
Nicely articulated, with ball jointed legs and arms. Both limbs have two joints; legs have knees and arms have double jointed shoulders. Head can turn 360 degrees with some fiddling, and the cannon, if turned to the right can look up and down.

Transformation is incredible satisfying and fun. I could sit for hours playing with it!
(oh dear, that sentence is innuendo galore)

Tank mode is solid, with li'l wheels, but unfortunately the the transformation means the turret can't move. Nice clean plaint applications.

I say this the best Legends Class figure since Cybertron Starscream (one of the best Legends of all time).

    8/10
Highly recommended. I'm planning on buying a lot of these to give my Acid Storm an army!

Picked up everyone today. Makes me wish Party Tank Megatron got a larger toy maybe with another flamboyant MEGATRON RULES sticker on him.

Hound is odd, but okay. and Jazz is cool, but I wish they painted his rear windows...

I got Hound today. He's really good, especially since G1 designs were relativly simplistic anyway and so he's a really great update. Only flaw is the wheels getting in the way of the arms.

I might get Megatron later, since I don't have a Megatron in my collection yet.

    UNIVERSE LEGENDS MEGATRON

For more pics, click on the link above

Robot Mode: There is little doubt as to who this little Legends figure here is a homage to. G2 Megatron is back and as bad-ass as ever. Only this time, at this miniscule size, he is a lot more posable than the G2 figure ever was. The legs actually move, people. And he can even turn his head (which causes the cannon to turn with it, seeing as it's fastened to the head).

Overall the figure is very well made for a Legends-class robot and leaves little room for complaint. I always preferred the tank Megatron to the gun Megatron, so this little robot here appeals to me very much. So the bottom line: One of the finest robots I've ever seen in this size-class.

Alternate Mode: Megatron transforms into a pretty realistic-looking green tank with purple cameo patterns on it. The detailing on the vehicle is pretty extensive for the size-class and the tank looks great overall. Play value is, of course, limited here. The tank turret can't turn and the gun can't be raised. Then again, G2 Megatron couldn't do any of these things, either, so I can't really complain. So overall, a good vehicle mode, if a bit unspectacular.

Remarks: The Classics / Universe line has brought back something that we haven't really seen since Robots in Disguise and, before that, Generation 1. Mini figures - originally called Mini Cars or Minibots, later Spychangers, more recently Legends figures - that are not just smaller versions of larger figures from that same line, but rather original ones. The line will bring back Minibots like Cosmos and Beachcomber, but right here we have a homage to none other than G2 Megatron.

Now I don't know why they decided to bring one of the biggest figures of the G2 line back as a Legends-figure, but apart from the size issue there really is nothing wrong with Legends Megatron. So when I walked through our local Real market and saw him standing there, I just knew I had to buy him. So unless you're totally opposed to small figures, Megatron is one for you.

I finally found Jazz yesterday, wasn't expecting a lot but I was definitely wow'd. Both modes are cool and solid, decent articulation for the pricetag too. :D  Pretty similar to Movie Legend Barricade but I like Jazz more. ;)
