Got Blades, and think he looks pretty nifty, but like others, I wish for more white, especially for the head. If it were my choice, I would change out some of the red parts, the ones that on Evac were medium blue-gray. (head, shoulders, much of the engine/missile backpack, winch housing, and the top panels of the vehicle canopy) Change those to white, and paint some more white on the rotor cowling, and the result is a mostly-red chopper with white from the roofline back, and a robot mode with white head and shoulders (and blue face if so chosen)

I may look into updating the paint on Blades, though that mold doesn't disassemble quite as easily as some TFs.

How the Animated toy line REALLY came to an end

I whole heartedly agree with your comments on the paint apps. He is a nice figure. I think his head is a little too big compared to the other Classics figure.

My missiles don't sit straight either. It looks like the bit of plastic that stop the missiles from folding a full 360 is off alignment. looks easy enough to fix with some glue and bits of plastic.

On mine, the tabs that lock the pelvis in place for robot mode don't hold quite as securely as they do on Evac, and may pop loose when moving the legs, but everything else is solid, or at least as good as on Evac.

I got mine today, they are very tight joints.

Originally I was gonna get Silverblah, but I think this guy is better. He has so many neat gimmicks. The transformation is fun and simple.

My only dislikes is how the chinstrap is painted white like the face so he looks chubby from far away and the blades like to fall off either the thing that holds them or just one individual blade. I'm not sure why the blades are removable in the first place. Luckily for the most part they're not loose at least. Also I feel like the tailfin was made out of a cheaper plastic like maybe the stuff lower quality model kits are made of. I feel like they could snap off easily if you tried bending (dunno why you would). Oh and one of the launchers doesn't launch very good, the missile just pops out a little instead of launch. blah... I'm gonna try and open it up and see what's the deal with it...

edit:
Tried open his canon, but can't. the black part makes it hard to open. I even tried submerging the canon in hot water and it still wouldn't open...

I like the duel homage between Blades and Energon Quickstrike, have one sitting in the closet but haven't gotten around to opening him yet.
